[Resolved]  Cert Infotrack Telematics — Overcharged in KSTDC cab service

Address: Bangalore, Karnataka

This is to inform you that I was travelling from Kempegowda international airport to MG Road on 30th November in the morning. I took the KSTDC cab( no. KA-03-AB-2331) and thought it would be reasonable priced. First of all when I mentioned that my destination would be one of the 5 star hotels on MG Road the driver started to upsell me restaurants for breakfast to which I denied and had to request him to take me to the hotel. Secondly, which I observed very common in Bangalore is that all drivers love to chat over the phone while driving and this is something which I have never been used to while travelling in other cities. When I reached the hotel the driver presents an invoice of INR 889 for 40 km (photo attached) plus INR 115 (toll charges which I paid while crossing it). I was surprised to see the amount and when I questioned the driver he mentioned that it was the correct rate and advised me to travel in OLA cabs which were much cheaper. I was completely taken aback with this statement and handed over a 1000 rupee note and thanked him for the memorable trip I had and told him to keep the change and I shall file a complaint. When I got down from the cab he walked behind me and apologized and requested not to complaint as he would loose his job. He then tried to bribe me and said he was willing to pay fifty rupees more and I should close the matter there.

Being from the hospitality industry security and safety (by which I mean that non of my guest should be cheated or inconvenienced during their visit) of all the traveller should be the utmost important thing.

I would request the authority to kindly take the necessary action.
