Hi,
I am saurabh living in hyderabad. I booked 4 bikes(Royal enfield classic 350cc) from chandigarh for our bike trip to leh-laddakh starting from 15th august to 24th august. The advance amount of 80, 000 using bank transfer in first week of june 2014 and the rent (1200 per day for 4 bikes for 10 days) was paid in cash on 15th august while taking the bikes. I was assured that i will get my advance money back after deducting the maintenance of the bikes withing 20 days after returning them.
Now the 1 bike had an major accident at the last day of the trip and still we were ready to pay the amount for the repair which no one had any problem about. After returning to our base cities i called the person after some days and got the answer that he will have to deduct 32000 for the bikes from the advance money. Still no one had any problem with it. But he kept making excuses for returning the money whenever i called him (Which i did for atleast 20 times in 2 months.) then he returned 20000. Mostly he will ignore my calls forget about returing the calls.
The remaining amount of 28000 was never returned and i had to keep calling him. I had to send one of my friend to his address and he again made excuse that he will return the money in 1 week which again he never did. Then i had to post to his facebook page (Chuttiyan.com) timeline the review of the incident i was facing. He started threatening me about sending us a legal notice (Which we would have galdly accepted and filed a court case against him if i was located in the same city - chandigarh).
Then i had to travel to oversees a lot and never could follow up with him and even after that i knew what would be the outcome on follow up (He will not pick up the phone and if he did he will start threatening me for a court case).
Please help me with this and get this person checked as i suspected he keeps doing this with others also who are not able to go his home (Chandigarh) for taking their money back on a daily basis.

Before renting the bikes ask them for permission granted to rent bikes by registering authority chandigarh & insurance covering riders. Also, ask them if everything is covered in insurance why are they charging refundable deposits of 10, 000/0 or 20, 000/- They are only cheating you for nothing.
