Citi Finance/kotak Bank — Getting call from kotak/citibank Agents

It is good that you have the number that person is calling you from. If he is using abusive language then you must record that conversation and take the matter to you local police station and mention that number in your complaint.

No one from any of the bank can use wrong language, as that is not the way of recovering money legally. As per the bank standards, if any loan borrower defaults in making repayment, in such a case bank shall approach the borrower and if borrower denies or does not make the payment. Then Bank has legal procedure for the recovery of such loans from the borrower. Bank would initially send you the legal notice and if still the payment is not made, then they file a legal case in the court for the recovery. Then it is completely up to the court to decide what how and when to make the recovery.

I got the call from same number but a lady was speaking. I did the same thing as you did by asking the loan no. She is just not willing to give it to me and is arguing continuously and said recovery agent ko bheju kya? Thankyou man. Please guys be aware of such calls and always contact bank by going there in person. Never share details on cellphone. THE PRICE OF THE ELECTRONIC AGE.

Day before yesterday he called in name of another bank

I am getting calls from Kotak recovery agent from the number . And he is rude on call. She is asking to pay loan amount which was in CITI FINANCE now its Kotak Bank. She provided me the Loan account no : **********. I called kotak back customer care and they were not able to find this loan number. He said "citi finance has been closed and not Kotak bank has been took over Citi Finance, so he is calling to recover". And he said the loan was taken on 2007. till now I didn't get any call for the same . And he got all my details like email address and home address and my family numbers. And they are calling my friend whom i didnt know duringthat period. They are saying anything on the call. using abusing words on the call. not ready to listen anything. Could you please check this help here..

I got a call for the same a few months ago and after explaining that we have repaid, he asked for proofs it is a loan taken in 2005 after many calls and explaination he stopped, now again today some executive called and the same repayment of the loan and proofs r being asked. He said he is calling from Kotak as now citifinancial is acquired by Kotak .He also said that I must have paid but as citifinancial closed it has not been updated Since years no calls have been received and he was saying to repay again .why to repay and already paid loan. He said if I don't pay my Cibil score will be affected.

How to tackle with these peoples. They are not contacting us but our relatives also.

And one thing, how they got all our contacts.

Please guide. I am also going to give the complaint, but is it really sufficient.

Send mail to these people, repeatedly so that they should know what their own persons are doing and that too without proper accounts and documentation, most of these loans were closed but details missing as CITI Closed their operations abruptly

Does any court in India have permitted Kotak to over the liabilities of Citifinancial which is closed now, how can we pay to Kotak in the absence of such court notification or RBI guidelines for the same.

Same here...I got same calls from these ladies ([protected]/[protected]and when I asked them to send link from banks website and in my email they started asking for my email id...I told them that they should be knowing it caller became super hyper. I asked for my PD cheques and they don't have it...those ladies also whatsapp me a visiting card of bank..I did not and will not block the numbers till the end of this forgery.😊

True. I am also getting continuous calls which in true caller comes as Devaraj advocate. but many have reported the same as scam. How can any advocate call and ask to pay money otherwise 420 case will be registered in High Court.. I said me too have an court order saying that no bank can approach me over phone and harass me for loan payment. He had even sent sms to me saying that I should deposit the money in that account. when I asked his identity and his office address so that I need to meet him and discuss the things he said only after payment and payment receipt I can approach him. I have given him my piece of mind and said to share my loan account number and details and how and when it was transferred from citi financial to Kotak. Yes there is some lady too whom that person said please speak to the manager. She never sounds educated or manner one bank manager should have. Its advisable either to block these numbers or to give a cyber complaint after recording. After I asked for details no call came till now.

Oh god I thought I was alone. Today I got call from one person claiming to be advocate. Name Anna durai. He was saying my home address and saying that I was coapplicant to the loan which my father took in 2005.He is threatening that non bailable warrant is going to be issued by 12:30 pm. I called my father and he told that loan was cleared. The strange part is I never signed anything. I was studying degree in 2005.I was surprised how he got my phone no which I took only in 2007.Also he mentioned the office in which I am working. Looks like some one using bank records are being misused and using some network to find out details like company name and phone no. When my father called him and asked to send the documents he was changing the discussion and threatening that fir will be sent and we would be remanded

For a few days one guy made phone call that he is climbing as an advocate and asked to pay outstanding loan of citi finance due after 15 yrs to my client, I an advocate enquire with him for knowing facts he refused to disclose his name and office adress and advocate entrolment number, moreover he told to pay the loan due to his bank account, I severely warned and lodged complaint with commissioner of police, I think they are data scanner and fraud, No true advocate do this way of threatening, don't pay anything to the fraud guys, they have not kept your documents, cheques for returning, financial creditors usually to recover dues by way of arbitration and after execution proceedings,

I am also getting same call from this fraud guys . they have all contact numbers of my whole family.

I thought I was alone, after looking all these complaints I am really worried about the people really suffering a lot due to this mental stress. My mother is a government employee, she took a loan in Citi financial in 2007 and in 2009 the bank was corrupted. she don’t know where to pay the remaining EMI’S, after 13 long years an advocate named prabhakaran from Chennai called my mothers higher officer and told that my mother will be arrested and it is a non bailable arrest warrant because of not paying the loan amount, and also told that give his mobile number to my mom and tell her to make a call. Officer made a call to my mother and explained the situation in detail, he also told that no such notice has been received, but just a call. After listening to all this my mother started crying because she did 28 years of service to the government and never received such calls from anyone. after making call to the advocate, he is threatening my mother that she will loose her job and will be in jail for making fraud.She got harassed by the advocate prabhakaran to pay the loan with no proper documents and directly they are insisting to pay for an account number in kotak mahindra bank. which we have no idea how to tackle the situation. From 2009 we haven’t received any calls or notice from the bank but all of a sudden I don’t know where there are getting the mobile numbers of the present officers.if they really want to recovery the money they should call my mother first, she is using the same mobile number from 15 years.
I request you people to please help me what to do next? Is it a scam ? Did Kotak really take over Citi financial

She is telling in bengali that she is Jiniya from Madras High Court. She told she is calling from Kotak Mahindra . she told my driver had a loan from Coti Finance in 2006.

And told about police warrant from Kotak Mahindra for non payment of loan.

Now question, why she is calling me?

My driver told he has repayed all.

Why is she giving such threat calls to me?

My mother also got call from one lady who is giving reference of adovacte from Bombay. She is telling that your loan amount is due of Rs- 51000. Within 2 hour she has to go nearest kotak mahindra bank and make call with manager so that she can tell all the issue. If my mother will not pay within 2 hour then she will be arrested. And also got the message from kotak mahindra to pay the amount by using the link provided.
Please guide us what to do.Is this scam or real?

i have received calls from a guy on 13 Aug 2022. He was asking that "your father has taken loan from citi finance in the year 2005" and approx 7, 000 amount was due. My father was expired now. As per my knowledge The said loan was already cleared. Due to citi finance closure at the year 2006 or 2007, we have no noc documents for that. Now the guy asked me to pay approx 7000 amount via online kotak bank link or he create a arrest warrant, also he said, as your father expired, court has the right to capture your movable property which will be around 40, 000 cost. Again he said me that we already sent you document and visit letter to your house. but we did not receive any kind of letter from last 15 years. I have asked him show me the proper documents so that i can able to understand the problem. Also i have asked him to provide me the house address in which you have sent us the letter. The guy replied we cannot show any kind of documents as the case already handed over to court. Now at the same time he is also telling "Can you pay money now"? i did not understand how to deal this type of guy. Also with out any documents how can i able to understand the situation of past 15-20 years? Please suggest me in this regards?
