We have raised an inquiry for andaman & nicobar islands trip through hello travel website on 15th of october, 2019.
We got a call from a company called "cleartrips pvt ltd" operating from office location as facilitation centre, near fci godown, indira gandhi road, willingdon island, ernakulam as confirmed by the staff (Travel agents) by name ashok (Ashok verma, senior tour consultant, clear trips pvt ltd, telephone: +91 [protected], e-mail: [protected]@cleartrips.in, website - http://www.cleartrips.in) & mayank. Please refer the below screen shot for your reference.
Travel agents (Ashok & mayank) are insisted to believe us as they are travel agents and will book the tickets to adman trip for 2nights/3days package with total amount rs. 76500/- for 4 people (16th of october, 2019). They started calling us many times and we have convinced with the offer. They have asked us to pay some initial payment to block the flight tickets and hotel booking confirmation i. E., rs 10000.
I have paid rs. 10000 immediately on the same day inorder to block the tickets and hotel. The next day i have received call from ashok who is senior travel agent and asked us to pay atleast rs.50000 to book the flight and hotel confirmations. I have paid rs 10000 /- again and my friend (Karthik) have paid rs. 20000 (So totally = rs 40000 /-) to the travel agency cleartrips pvt. Ltd on 17th of october, 2019. Please refer the screen shots below. The very next day travel agent ashok called us informed that to pay the remaining payment for booking the flight tickets. Else they will not proceed to book the filghts. We have asked them to give atleast hotel booking confirmation. They didn't produced. They have started demanding us that if you don't pay the payment by today evening you will not receive the remaining payment which you have already paid.
We got nervous and discussed with travel agents (Ashok and mayank, nitesh) many times. We have requested them to give atleast some confirmation about hotels. A confirmation of hotel booking email has been sent from them. But the invoice is not attached. Just written confirmation. I have paid the remaining amount rs 35, 600 to the travel agency. So totally i have paid them rs. 76, 500/- for the trip. They told with in evening they will send the flight itinerary details and hotel booking confirmations and island inter transport details. After 5 pm on 18th of october their phone is switch off. The next day they said that they will confirm the tickets by evening of 18th of october. But they didn't confirm.
After multiple emails and calls, on 19th of october, 2019 they have confirmed me that they will send the confirmation after 24th of october. I have asked for reason but they didn't said anything strongly. I told them to cancel the trip and refund the amount else i will register a complaint to dtpc ernakulam about the same. They have confirmed me through am email about cancellation and refund of total amount on next day i. E. 21st of october, 2019. But still i didn't receive my payment. They are torturing us and didn't confirm us our refund initiation till now. They have well pressurized to pay the initial payment, 50 percent payment. They tortured us mentally for this payments.
As we have called them many times but still the agents are not responding. They are directing the tourists with wrong information and asking them to deposit huge amount of money. At first they are asking to transfer some initial payment and later to pay 50% of payment. Then they are asking to 100% payment in order to proceed with booking. Else they are blackmailing us that the amount you have been paid is non-refundable. Hence we have paid the full payment.
After registering a complaint, they have confirmed us that they will do refund in 8-10 days and sent email confirmation regarding the same.
When i have contacted them in 1st week of november again they have said that they will do it before 15th of nov but still i did not get my refund.
Requesting you to take immediate effective action against such travel agents and companies to keep in blacklist. So that public will aware of fraud companies.
