I had booked a hotel through cleartrip. My biggest mistake was a that I paid before check-in. Order #[protected]
The hotel is named as Dreams Apartment Powai, Mumbai. After the booking, it is normal to provide the address and phone number of the hotel. But it wasn’t provided.
I contacted cleartrip and they didn’t even have the phone number of the designated hotel.
Now comes the best part, I reach the hotel address, turns out the hotel has been unoperational for more than a year. I manage to get the contact number of the hotel through a security guard in that building. I call the manager and he says “Dreams apartment has been closed” and immediately disconnects my call, and blocks my number and didn’t receive calls from any another numbers.
Now hassled as I had my luggage and due to scorching hot weather, I call the customer care service. They promise me that they will get back to me in 2 hours. This conversation happened on 12th april and they just have been making excuses for not refunding and asking me to wait for 24-72 hrs everytime I call them.
