Cleartrip — Rescheduling and refund

I called customer care and enquired about date change of my flight which I had booked some time back and then rescheduled my flight for a different date on the cleartrip website and selected an indigo flight instead of the booked vistara one. It went through the payment process for fare difference and date change fees and got a confirmation both from my credit card and from cleartrip through the website confirmation and SMS that payment was processed and booking was confirmed. The SMS also said that the eticket will be sent to me by[protected]:24:47. After a minute I received a mail with the subject saying 'We were unable to book your trip' while the body of the email said that the date change has been made and it had my payment details as well. I checked 'My trips' section on my cleartrip account and it said payment failure for my booking id. I called customer care immediately and the person assured me that it was due to a late update from the indigo airline and that it will get processed in few hours and asked me to wait for 3 hours. I waited till around 12 AM but there was no other mail or confirmation and the portal still showed payment failure. I called back customer care again and the person who received had no idea about my issue and checked the details again and told me that the payment was failed thats why it was not booked. i told him that payment was done from my card and i also got confirmation from cleartrip about it. I have all screenshots and SMS with me. he then placed my call on wait and came back and said since i changed to different airline so its not possible. i asked him then why was it showing up when I was doing a date change. why did it allow me to proceed with a different airline if that was not possible! he then placed again on hold and came back and said this flight cannot be rescheduled u need to call us within 24 hours of flight departure. I said I was told to wait and anyways there was more than 30 hours left for departure. He was saying all such irrelevant reasons and then finally he transferred my call to a person from scheduling team called Moize. He again checked and told me that payment was received by cleartrip and that change of airline is allowed when done from website but it might take some time to update. i told i was already asked to wait and still it was not updated. then he told indigo might take another half hour to confirm the booking and that he will call me back at 1.30 AM. i have the conversation recorded as well. However there was no call at 1.30 AM till 2.10 and I called back customer care and some other person received it. I asked to transfer the call to Moize as he is already aware of the issue and this new person had no issue. he refused to transfer and said we cant transfer to a person. i asked why and he said i need to check the details and immediately put my phone on hold even though i protested. after a minute he simply disconnected the call. Again I called back customer care and another person this time received and asked me the issue. so i repeated the same story again as I had not other choice and while I was explaining he simply went blank and disconnected my call. Really pathetic service from cleartrip with negligent customer service executives. i still do not have any confirmation and there are only 5 hours left till it is 24 hours to departure and I will not be able to reschedule my flight. I finally was able to talk to a customer care executive after being dropped by several others and he simply told me that backend team is working on it and I need to wait till morning for any kind o[censored]pdate. he had no idea whether the booking will be confirmed or not. i asked him to send an email stating the same but he said it can't be sent on call and will be sent within 15 minutes and as expected there is no email. he was very rude as well saying that i cant do anything u need to wait. As I cannot wait till morning and then pay for an exorbitant flight price rise so I am now proceeding to book another flight on another website obviously and I want the entire booking amount of my flight of 11th May and the extra amount I had paid for the date change refunded back. The entire day I had to keep calling customer care and wait for long periods of time and still at 3.25 AM there is no resolution. within this waiting time itself flight prices have risen by Rs. 2000

I received the mail which says 'As per our telephonic conversation, booking is in Initialised state so please wait till status to be updated as team is working on it .'
