I got a mail from IGT for job openings as a trainee process associate...I asked from the HR whether it will be a voice, non voice or blended process...as I was not comfortable for 100% voice profile...he said that they have openings for blended process too...I gave my interview and it was my first interview in an MNC and I got recruited in IGT as a trainee process associate in UA ques(blended) process. My joining date was from 23 FEB 2015. Our induction day was on 23 FEB 2015 and our DAY 1 was from 25 FEB 2015. I had viral fever due to which I was not able to join my duty on day 1. I informed my respective trainee...that due to health problems I will not be able to join the duty on day 1, I even said him that I will also bring the medical certificate in the office...but he didn't considered my problem. I also had a word with my HR also...he said that I will be able to join from day 3...besides having a high fever of about 102 celsius...I waited for my confirmation call...but nothing happened...and my profile was rejected for that respective process. After 2-3 days I got a call from my HR for other 2 processes... I again went down for the interview...and cleared it...and I was hired for UABD process...I was not overall aware about this process...again my induction day was on 19 MAR 2015...on the induction day I asked my respective trainee about the process...when I came to know that it was a pure calling process...The very next day I got a call from my HR...I said him that I was hired for a voice process...though he knew that I am not comfortable for this process...but he didn't listen...and said me that my name will be blacklisted from IGT. Me myself had done Btech...and I always wanted to make my career ahead in travel industry...thats why I decided to enter into bpo industry and IGT is one of the good bpo's among the travel sector...but due to all these problems my profile was not considered. At the entry level only, these are the problems which is seen by the employees...I was not even able to join the duty...just by a merely NO from the trainee and HR...I don't know why a candidate's career is being in hands of some middlemen, consultant agents, hr or trainees...besides that a candidate's career should be judged on his or her work... In fact after all the joining procedures I was not able to start my career...in this field...Nowdays recruitment process has only become a commission process...in order to achieve their targets even one is ready to ruin anyone's career...and hence the freshers, employees at the beginning level suffers. This is one of the inhuman and ill treatments which is done to the candidates...by merely waiting for hours and hours to get through the interview and whether to attend a merely 10 hrs long induction.We talk about procedures and company's policies...but when it comes to the problems of freshers, candidates they are being humiliated, insulted and ill treated...Though bpo is a business industry...but atleast the respective management should also consider the problems faced by the employees.
