[Resolved]  Airtel Prepaid — VAS Deactivation

My no is [protected]. In december I had applied for job alert service but later on I requested to discontinue the service but inspite of several assurances It wasn't deactivated and I am being charged even uptill now.

airtel prepaid vas service — regarding vas service deactivation

as iam using airtel live from many months and today i submit my vas card number from my phone and i used for some time but i dont download any thing and after some time the airtel servicr says that your card is finished whats this non sense going to be hell with me i am not agree with this card the no was [protected] pls help me in any ways

Airtel- prepaid mobile connection — VAS Pack-request for deactivation

I had put in a request for deactivation of the VAS pack in the last week of July 2008, vide reference no [protected]. However, I have neither been able to contact your customer care officer on 121, nor have I received any sms regarding reactivation of the services. Moreover, the subscription for the VAS Pack has not been done on my request either. The customer care of Airtel, I am sorry to say, is PATHETIC. Hope that you deactivate the VAS Pack urgently, if not already done so, and also credit the amount deducted from my account.
i subscribed for the VAS service a long time back .. But now i dont find any use of it so i wanted to deactivate the service .. I called customer care twice for the same but it has been two months and my VAs service has not been deactivated ... kindly someone help me out ...

Every month I am charged with Rs.15 for Missed Call Alerts, for which I have never subscribed. Every month I call customer care and get refund of the same. However again next month I receive the same message.

Airtel Prepaid — deactivate VAS

SIRS, Rs 3 per day is deducted from my prepaid a/c to my mobile no [protected] from yesterday midnight towards vas, which i have ever asked for . To stop the message I had sent STOP to 121 for which I got the reply there is no active services to my mobile number . but to my surprise again this afternoon ( 14/6/09) Rs 3 was deducted Please ensure that no more deductions will be made to my number . Please take immediate action.
I am a prepaid AirTel subscriber 0f Guwahati, Assam.The No. is [protected]. After I was fleeced of Rs 15/- on the ground that "I had downloaded animation" from Airtel Live WAP services which was not a fact., I sent STOP AIRTEL LIVE to 121 on 13.6.09. I Received a Msg from CUSTOMER CARE at 21:52;29 on 13.6.09 acknowledging receipt of my request and adding that the Services will be deactivated within 48 hours..There is no confirmation yet after 72 hours.I sent the request again, and got the same msg that the service will be deactivated within 48 hours.Everytime you make the request, they
come out with the msg of deactivation withi9n 48 hrs.I have become sick and tired with the service being rendered in Guwahati by Air Tel Customer Care. Is there any responsible person whom I can talk to, because by dialing 121 you have to listen to instructions on IVR, --a one -way traffic that gets you nowhere..

i agree...guwahati's customer care is hell! itz supposed to be a helpline, only one gets no 'help' from it! i have been having these stupid and extremely annonying balance deduction for months now..n everytime i call d customer care, they either hang up midway...or they give you some absolutely not-helpful, frustrating crap! to get connected to an executive takes like forever...and even if you are lucky enough to get through, the executives hang up midway!! these deductions are giving me serious headaches now!!!
i dont know if anyone actually reads these complaints...but still, am going to put forward an earnest request. airtel's customer care service is degrading day by day. the worst possible service, sure as hell, is provided by the lazy, flirty and incorrigible executives in guwahati. me and all the airtel users back in guwahati would be extremely obliged if someone could chuck them out and appoint a few with atleast the average grey matter...and some useful solutions to our problems!
and yes, we would also be extremely grateful if airtel can stop sucking our blood by cheating us outta our money!

I got to agree with what most of the complainers have expressed here. The customer care executives of AirTel Guwahati are the worst, ill-mannered and irresponsible reps I've ever come across.

Here in Guwahati your balance gets deducted for no reason at all if you are using AirTel service. They'll send you e-mails asking if you want to deactivate, do this and do that for something which you'd never activated in the first place.

Adding salt to the injury is that when I called up their customer reps to ask why certain amounts of money were being deducted from my balance for a sevice which I've not availed, they had the audacity to tell me to use my mobile in a responsible way ... meaning, I don't know how to use a mobile phone and somehow I must have activated it on my own!!!

But as a mater of fact, at least I've used a mobile since the day they were charging money for incoming calls!!!

My request to speak to one of their supervisors were responded with a 'thud' on the other side... and the line went dead.

Hope someone responsible from the Company would take up necessary steps to weed-out these useless, good for nothing unhelpfuls.

Airtel Prepaid — VAS not get stopped

my mobiles no. [protected] when ever i recharged 10 to 15 debited i had escalated this to customer care for several times got answers & this service will be wil get discontinued in 24 hrs & 4 hrs, but still it does not get resolved. pls cancel the VAS SMS / services from my no. i had sent STOP to 121 also, but still not yet resolved.
i am not getting airtel live setting on my nokia 3210 classic mobile. my mobile no is [protected]

Airtel — Airtel fleecing their prepaid customers

Airtel is now fleecing customers big time to keep its profit and loss account healthy. What they do is they start certain services on their own in any ones mobile. Or they create a loop through messages
so that the services is switched on . And they will start the service deducting the amount from the prepaid users account. I have heard this from almost all the users of Airtel. The prominent service in this list is missed call alert service .

And the biggest catch in such service is that once they start , they will keep on deducting service charge until u have time to speak to their lousy customer care which is again chargeable and tell them to stop the service. The service unsubscription number that they provide never works either. And even if one does that he has already lost the one time subscription amount
