[Resolved]  Apeejay School, Noida — Bad management and poor teacher in primary dept.

I have found Apeejay School, Noida as the worst school ever one can choose for his or her child. In Primary department, there are over 40 students in each class and not even one dedicated helper (maid) to help the teacher. When we find it difficult to handle our one or two kids, how does the school management expect one teacher to manage so many children alone. There is lot of frustration among teachers too and I know few teacher who are planning to quit because of this situation. It is also affecting the children. The teacher is hardly able to pay attention to the class and then the nursey incharge blames the child for being naughty. We have ourself seen teachers reacting very badly to a small mistake of any child. Becasue of no help the teachers are not able to even perform their routine duties. There is no check if the student is in the class or not... the child will be in play ground for hours together and the teacher will never come to know because if it is just impossible for one teacher to keep track of the activities of 40-45 children. The school just wants to take brilliant students. My child is very bright and active in class but we have seen his performance go down since the time he has joined this school. We never had this problem when he went to the play school (Mother's pride) and to see if there was a problem with our child - during summer vacation I even put him in a summer camp and was in constant touch with the teacher to monitor how he is doing in the class. As expected, he was just like any other child in the class... we realised that it was because of lack of attention in the class (Appejay) that he gets distracted which is affecting his performance. The Nursery incharge says there is a problem with our child behaviour and we even consulted a child psychologist to check if there is anything wriong with our child. To our surprise all his test and ratings were normal and even the pyscholigist said that it is lack of personal attention in the school that is giving the child an opportunity to do what ever he wants. I am really regretting making such a bad choice for my child, I just hope the management gets to read this complaint and understand that they have an important role to play in a child's overall development. Just opening a school and winning few tournaments doesn't make the school "GOOD", they should plan to improve the overall qaulity of education and support staff in the school.

these type of small problems are bound to happen in any big and reputed institution. The question is how the management should give more emphasis on the academics of the students. The earliar managers may have done well but the present one are also striving to do well and they should do it. Only than the institution will keep up its reputation in the time to come. We all should cooperate with the management and give our suggestions for the improvement in the system. Only the management should not blindly be blamed.
There is a lot of politics in the school. Favouring some discrediting some just to please the important and permanent techers. The reason is that most of the teachers are temporary and to stick to the job they need to gain the support of the permanent staff(who are mentally sick).

School Management Software — No support

To,
Whom so ever it may concern,
Respected Sir/Madam,
I’m Administrator of an Educational Institution. Last year in June month I purchased software for my institution management for Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. Ten thousand only). The functionality of that package was not familiar for me. So I requested for support. They use give the support online.
In recent days of about 1 ½ months back when I called for some support they refused to give the support. Instead they are telling that, we’ve stopped the support for this version, since it is old. We’ve developed another new version; you have to purchase that one.
I requested that please update the software with new one. But they told that, it is totally new version and your version cannot be updated with the new. You have to purchase if you want the support.
Nether they are ready give the support for old version (I’m ready to pay the prescribed charge for the support) nor they are ready to update with new one.
If I purchase the new version for this year, they may force me to purchase another version for next year. This may be continued to never end.
I feel I have been exploited with this software company.
Is there any ray of hope for me to overcome this hurdle ?
Like Management Like Principal. Apeejay Noida has a spineless Principal. The Berlia's are only concerned with Money. Apeejay noida has some sections that has over 70 students in the class. The hair of the student in the front row cover the notebook of the student sitting behind. Some buses have 90 students in them. The school is filthy, breeding ground for diseases. Most teachers are taken adhoc at salaries of 8000/-. And confirmed after 3 - 4 years.

Its a dying institutute where greed has taken over the education and well being of students. Never send your Children to this school.

I completely agree with you!
Apeejay going down by the day! No by the hour!
HI all, I am an ex teacher of Apeejay Noida. I would like to share my view on this issue as a person who has insight on how teachers work there.
as teachers our priority is always the child and his/her needs to be looked after. I have been associated with many schools now in India and Uk and for sure I can say its one of the best educational institution. i am in touch with many of my ex students and feel proud how well and responsible they are shaping up. definitely as any organisation we had problems and we tried to come up with possitive solution as a group effort by teachers, management and parents. i used to teach in primary dept. and know this for a fact that we all loved our students as parents love their children. Apeejay takes lot of effort in recruiting the best staff. when i look back I really miss my teaching days there, my students and friends. students are respectful towards teachers and teachers try to provide healthy developing educational enviroment.
A class strength of 40/45 students is the format thats been followed by nearly all the schools in Delhi. As a parent to have these sort of concern is normal. Try to talk to the class teacher raise your concerns and I am possitive that they will be willing to work along with you suggestions.

this Apeejay school is the worst school whether it is primary section or the secondary one.they do not care for the students.
The worst school i ever had faced.I am prepairing to get certan info on this school thru RTI.
one thing i forget to mention the apeejay school at Noida isthe worst than a Govt School.
Dr. Haseja the frmr principal was a great artist who fooled everybody in believing that the school is having brilliant credentials, but the reality is that after i joined i realised that the school management is in the hands of a few ppl like the maths teacher Mr. Baras who was a bad example for the students, ask any body from 2002 -03 senior students and they will tell u that he used to abuse and hit students and behave like a villager in the class.
all in all it was a nightmare to be for even a year under these so called educators, and my parents took the right decision to shift me to a better place.
I pity the school now where Mr. Haseja and Mr. Baras are working, and god bless the kids who will be near them.

Apeejay still remains a bad example of a school. I had admitted my daughter in 2010 with this school expecting discipline, cooperation and fairness. To my utter horror, the school has proved itself to be partial, non concerned about student or their needs and is only looking forward to make money. My daughter in Class KG did not not attend the last week before winter holidays. We received a call from the class teacher before the reopening of the school informing that her fee payment bill is kept in the Accounts department and we should collect and submit the same. No concern about the health of the student or the classes or assignments that the student has missed. If this is how parents are treated then we can better understand what is happenning with little kids who are so naive.
My daughter has picked up bad language and actions from her clasmates and it seems that the teacher is not bothered of what the kids are doing in the class. The school prefers wealthy parents, mainly doctors, and are not bothered with the cultural background of the students. Neither the school tries to build culture nor focusses on mannerism which is so essential with young kids. Attending a PTM is a nightmare as other parents pounce on you where they want to meet the teacher first. No system of rollcall or attendee list is maintained at the PTM meeting therefore the chaos and fight.
Practically no system and process is being follwoed in this school. I had taken a decision to move my ward from another school to this, but it has really roved costly to me. I regret this decision and would like to correct it soon...would shift my child to a more responsible school. I myseld bein in education sector would never like to be a part of Apeejay Group.
Mother of a KG Student.
Sorry to break the hearts of all the students but I STRONGLY AGREE with the complaint. The school is not only resorting to cost cutting in the most unimaginable of ways (drinking water and loos not being cleaned, the auditorium is a mess, no proper stationery shop, and off course under paid staff i.e. teachers who are in early twenties and cant handle 50+ students per class, and hen the parents complain they say they cant handle such big batches but dont have the nerve to go to the principal and acknowledge) to make it worse they are now resorting to fleecing the parents by making all kinds of stupid things compulsory (e.g. the educational kits for Nursery are work almost 1600/- ) and off course its mandatory to buy hopeless school bags from the school for 3 times the amount.

All in all the school is well on its way down. Mr. NN Nayyar wants to make it the most profitable educational institution in NCR. Hope he concentrated more on the education than the money. And the proof is right there. 4 yrs ago they had 8 sections in Nursery with 50 + students each, this year thanks to all the disrepute they could muster only enough students for 6 sections.

God bless the students who are at the mercy of ill paid teachers and may the Almighty give strength to the parents to bear the torture
My son is also in APEEJAY School in class 4...and on hearing me read out the complaint he got furious and said "who is this person and why is he saying all this about my school ? My school is the best!"
I am facing the same problem with my child in primary section. There are 48 students in one class with one teacher and with no attention to the students. Sometimes teacher dose not even remember the performance of the students when asked in PTM she have to look in the sheet to know how students had performed in the competitions. Not at all personal attention to the kids at this age when a child needs personal attention. teachers do not care that if all the students have submitted their work sheets or note books nor the teacher take pains to help the child to learn in the class what has been taught. Her only target is to get finish the syllabus at the year end no matter if the child has learnt something or not, according to the APJ teachers a child should be brilliant enough to understand her/him self and it is their parents headache to get their child learn everything at home.
And the worst thing is teachers go after only those students who perform well and the one who do not respond are neglected as always which is worst on the part of teachers and school, instead the teachers should encourage the students who do not respond or inactive in class so that the child also feels that she/he is a part of the class and feel more confident. I request the teachers of APJ primary section to be more active and be more responsible towards every child as every child is unique. The challenge is not to make stand a brilliant child on stage and make her perform but the real challenge is to make a introvert shy child to perform on stage. Please do not play with child's futures as child need great attention at this stage of life and once he gets older he do not require that much of attention
PPL DONT LISTEN TO ALL OF THIS !!! apeejay skul is d best ever. Primary deppt. especially is full with talented and sincere teachers. Also it is the duty of a parent to care for his/her child and concentrate. My brother is also in KG and he is learning new and new things everyday... also his teacher calls each n every student individually to check the work and very effectively points out the pros an cons in the student. Anyways if a nursery student doesnt go home and atleast spend 10 mins on what he/she has learnt, its obvio that he/she willl bunk class in nursery... so parents, please dont put the pressure on teachers teach ur child some discipline. I myself am a student of apeejay and when it comes to attention, EVERY CHILD IS GIVEN INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION IN THIS SCHOOL
Another woes to add to the already exisiting ones..the teachers in the primary section are so egoistic and hyper that they have strated to threaten parents in the name of the primary incharge's name...it is not at all acceptable! If the teacher is behaving like this, what kind of an example or value addition can she do to the kid?? And the reason of threatning was that a permission was seeked out for...

The offical website though has a feedback tab for parents, when you check it you can only see the wow stu[censored] Where can i write to the principal is nowhere mentioned..probably they are too busy seeking admission from naive people than to spend a little time to hear the woes of the current sent of abused parents!!!
Yes but I have no complaint with the study but extra curriculum activity is zero and my child wants to participate in any function or activity she never been selected as usual they select the same child whole year for any activity they never give chance to new child specially music and dance teacher I feel very bad for my child that she always go for audition but never been selected though she is learning music and dance at home
Hi, I have studied in Apeejay from nursary to 12th. I'm 2000 pass out. That time Apeejay was one of the best schools. However I agree that the strength of class was 45 students on an average. Due to this individual attention and improving the students who are weak in some areas was not focused. Teachers were highly educated and very nice. There are positives and negatives in each school and so is the case with Apeejay. When it was time for my kid to get admission in nursery, I visited the school after ages. I was set back by the fact that even with time the infrastructure of classes, even primary classes did not change a bit. Windows were broken, same old furniture, the school did not improve with time. 40 to 50 students in nursery class - my God, hats off to teachers and best of luck to the little ones. I decided not to even turn back and recommend admission specially for primary children in Apeejay. This is the time we as parents want our children to have a strong base and trust me teacher to student ratio is one of the primary criteria for choosing a school. I myself an proud to be studied in this school but I am even more proud that I took the right decision for my kid.
I think, school needs to update, they are not open for feedbacks, teachers are just outdated, no recent trainings are given to them. Old fashioned way of teaching is there. Infact the status of the parents matters to them and they just give attention to parents who are well to do or have good contacts. Pre primary incharge is not ready to take any feedbacks. Bad washrooms.
