[Resolved] Auto — Cheating by auto Rickshaw Driver | |||
Hi All, We travelled from Jayanagar 4th block to BTM(udupi garden Signal) at 8.15 PM on August 29th 2010. We took Auto. Auto driver ask us to pay 10 Rs more on Old meter. We said ok. He took long route by thinking we are new and Northies. Insted of coming from Sanjaya Gandhi-->Carmel school-->East end he jumped the signal and took Jayanagar 13th block route. When he is giving accelator meter was jumping with high speed and when we reached udupi garden signal it was showing 6.1 km and 43 Rs.(normally It is within 3.5 to 4 KM). He showed us new chart and ask us to pay 64 Rs. We didnt agree because in chart it is showing 54. He asked 10 RS extra on new meter!!!. Some local citizens helped us. But he started scolding them in bad kannada words. At last we gave 60 Rs. and reported this issue to nearby Traffic police. When I was taking his Auto number he shouted like "Nimmatra enu agalla , Yaratra en kitkotiri kitko hogri". Auto Rickshaw number: KA 05, AB 2518. Hi,Yesterday( 14.06.2009) night I put my wife and kids in an autorickshaw at Hebbal (Esteem Mall) and they we were new to Bangalore. Myself has given the driver a clear instruction to go to Shanthi Nagar bus stand and I followed in my two wheeler. The driver refused to put the meter and demanded Rs.150/= as it was 9.00 p.m. I agreed since their bus to chennai was 10.00 p.m. But the driver took them to Majestic bus stand and acted stupid.
After my direction he came to Shanthi Nagar bus stand at 10.15 and demanded Rs.250/= and finally I got to settle for Rs.200/=. More over he is shouting and threatening which embarassed us.
I hope Bangalore Traffic police / RTO will take stringent action against such culprits.
