Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am an NRI from Pathanamthitta, as well as a very old customer of Maruti having 800, 1000 and Zen. We were on a short vacation recently regarding the arrangement of our only daughter’s marriage scheduled by May. So we went to the above showroom looking for a new car to be gifted on my daughter’s marriage.

We were in the showroom after normal shopping somewhat after 1’0 clock. The showroom looked like a junk yard and was very filthy. By the time we were around the display cars (there were only two of them), we were surprised to notice that somebody was having food in the backseat of the new display car. After sometime a lady came out of the car with a lunch box and a water bottle in her hand. Later we realized that she is the Sales Manager of the showroom. When she saw us watching her, she left the showroom immediately and came back showing a big face and did not bother to attend us. All the time she was murmuring and acting as if we were at her house for some financial help. Her behaviour shows that she is not fit for the post of Sales Manager nor is she qualified enough. Because of her behaviour we lost interest to buy a Maruti car. My daughter, who was with us insisted to look for some other brand. I am very fond of Maruti cars hence I am writing this letter to you.

Such types of dealers sell cars only because of the name of Maruti. You should have some control over the dealer’s recruitment process of staff especially on such senior and important posts like Sales Manager, General Manager Etc.

After two days we are leaving India and will be back only in May. I usually travel around the world but never met a Sales Manager like this. As one of your old customer I insist you should take some severe action against her since she hurt me very badly and I am sure she would have did and will do the same to other customers too. May be others simply swallow such insults but I made it sure to let you know what your dealers are doing behind your name. I am a loyal customer of the brand name hence I booked a Maruti car from the nearest showroom, but I am sure no one else would do. I hope when I am back I don’t find her in the showroom or at least I don’t see such a behaviour again. It really hurts.

Thank you

Dr. Thomas.K.Mathew
