Barclays Bank / Priority Circle Membership — Trapped by Barcalys Priority Mambership

This is Raj having barclay card and my card no. is XXXX XXXX XXXX 2773. At the end of the April i.e, dates in between 25 to 26 th i got a call from your customer service regarding (BARCLAY PRIORITY CIRCLE) life time membership for barclay card. Initially i've said i am interested i came to know the fraud from barclays bank and the same day i've given a call to customer care and said "Please cancel the BARCLAY PRIORITY CIRCLE (life time membership) offer, In reply i got "ur request will be processed with in 4 working days." On 2nd of May they have deducted money from my account which i got in April 8th to May 8th Statement Period. Deducations are as follows:

Becoz of deducting Rs. 5691.87 amount from my account, my card credit limit was exceeded. They have charged some more amount from my account which i got in May 8th to June 7th Statement period. The total amt needs to be revert back to my account is nearly 8000Rs.
i've sent a mail to the customer service 19th June 2008 regarding and i've given calls to customer care for nearly 50 times, but any action was not taken till now and always saying that "lodgnin new complaint and ur request will be processed in 4 working days.But there is no response from the barclays bank. It is very bad on that bank. My Sincere suggestion "DON TAKE BARCLAYS CREDIT CARD".. "LIFE IS AARAM WITHOUT BARCLAYS CREDIT CARD".

Is ther any way to lodge a complait on Barclays Bank to RBI. If anybody know pls help me.

Barclay Bank — Priority Circle - fraud by Barclay Bank

Sometime back I got a Barclay card. In the month of October-November, i got some calls from Barclay Bank regarding the "Priority Circle Offer". I never accepted that offer. But in the account statement generated on November 24, 2008 they charged[protected]+741 for tax) in the statement. Since then i am continuously calling the customer care and telling them the issue. They say that they can't take that offer back. How can they impose those charges in such a way ? I am really frustrated with these guys. If these people don't take that amount back, I will be forced to go to the consumer forum.

In the same forum, I found several complaints for the same issue. If anybody have got solved this problem please lemme know the way.

I too faced the same problem like this. I am Conquering with them for the past 6 months, they are not at all reversing the amount, and asking for the payment by calling me daily. I need to explain the whole story to them daily. Really it is very much irritating to me. Don't believe the Barclay credit card, don't opt for this.
