[Resolved]  Barclays Credit Card — no response for complaint lodged more than 3 months back

had lodged a compalint with barclays bank for a foreign transaction that was shOwing up on my 19th july bill for a foreign transaction done on 23.06.08 as i was not aware of this transaction i called barclays and lodged a comnplain on 1st august they blocked my card and said would investigate the same and revert back in 45 to 60 days its been over 3 months and they have not reverted back i made payments for july and august but did not make a payment for sept as my charges were not reversed i clearly informed them that once charges are reversed with compensation i will clear all the balance but then i started receiving 2 to 3 texts messages for payment reminders a day and also calls and voice messages and have till now received more than 100 texts messages which are saveds in my inbox had also fwd a comaplin e-mail for same (enclosed below) but there was still no revert and now i have people coming to my house for payments and when i call the customer service they have a standard reply that they have forwarded a request and will revert. i do not know how to proceed further and am not even sure if barclays will reverse all the charges with suitable compensation for all the inconvinience they have caused for nearly 4 months now .Please guide me on how should i proceed further

To Whomsoever it is concerned,

I have had barclays gold credit card # [protected] with your company since past 10 months now and with every passing time i have experienced nothing but inconvinience in form of poor customer service.

I called your customer service on 1st august regarding a foreign transaction that was showing on my invoice dated 19th July and had queried about all the charges regarding that transaction, i was told that as i was not aware of how the transaction occurred there would be an investigation done immediately and someone from customer service woul revert back with 45-60 days and my card would be suspended immediately to avoid any further misuse, i still went ahead and made the minimum due payment for the july and august dated bill even though my card was still blocked.Then even after 45 days when i did not hear anything from customer service i called up on 3 seprate occasions and enquired about the progress of investiagation as i did not want to pay for something that i have not used and even more so when my card was still suspended, i was informed again that the matter would take up more time and was given a complaint ref # cas160678 its been 3 months now and have not heard anything from your customer service and i am now being harrassed by your collection agency to make the payment on explaining the issue to them i was told that they would get in touch with me within 24hrs after speaking with customer service but every time there is a call made by a new agent who has no clue as to what the previous agent has spkoen to me about and am being harrassed for payments to such an extent that they are calling up twice or even 3 times in a day and as if that is not enough then there are texts reminders and auto calls which do not stop at all. After waiting for nearly 3 months i have now decided that as a comapny if you are not responsible and competent enough to resolve a customer issue for 3 months i will take matters in my own hands by going to print media and if required even to consumer court for justice, I have clearly informed all your agents i have spoken to that i am more than happy to clear all my dues and close the card for good provided if all the charges that have been placed on my invoice in form of foreign transaction, interests on foreign transaction, charges for exceeding card limit, late payments along with justified and suitable compensation has been given to me for all the harrassment i have been put through by your company in past 30 days.I never thought that a brand of such repute would be so irresponsible towards customer issuess and that i would need to take such a step of actually writing a complaint to inform how the company actually works.
Would look forward to a positive response within 48hrs from you, failing to which i would pursue the matter with higher legal authority.
