Dear Sir/ Madam
My name is Chitti Babu from Vijayanagar, Bangalore. Last Friday i.e., on 09-Dec-2011 around 10PM I had boarded a 335E volvo bus from Kundanahalli Gate to Majestic. Along with me I was carrying a white plastic bag in which there was a new pair of safety shoes. The bus reached Majestic around 11 PM & by slip of mind I forgot to collect the plastic bag which I had kept below my seat. I only realised after reaching my home around 12PM. I do admit my mistake for my absence of mind. Immediately I called the BMTC customer care number [protected] from my mobile number [protected] & informed the customer care executive by name Santosh & requested him to pass on the message to the nearby Depot No. 7. To my shock there was a very rough & rude reply from the customer care executive saying that if he informs the bus depot about this, they would spit him on his face. I was really taken aback by the kind of words used & response received from a customer care executive who was supposed to talk to the customers politely & gently, which are the basic qualities of any customer care executive whatsoever. He even threw a challenge to me saying that I can take all his details & do whatever I want & adding to the insult, he even disconnected my call. I again redialled the number & the same customer care executive lifted the call & upon hearing my name, he again disconnected the call. I was totally confused by the behaviour of a customer care executive that too of a Government run body. I’m very unhappy with this incident. If they couldn’t resolve my issue, atleast, they could have spoken to me in a proper & decent manner. I believe Bangaloreans are the most soft spoken people when compared to any city in India, not like Mr. Santosh – Customer Care Executive(BMTC). Hope BMTC can step up to this & improve their service to their commuters in a better way.
Regards
