[Resolved]  Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation — Street Dogs

Address:Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

This is to bring to attention to the problem of street dogs in the upper govind nagar area of Malad East, Mumbai. The whole road is full of street dogs and the numbers are only increasing. They bark and run after the numerous passing vehicles constantly and run after bikers, cyclists, motorists etc. Posing significant danger especially to two wheeler riders, they have often lost balance trying to protect themselves from the chasing street dogs. I am not sure what is stopping the BMC to stock of this situation and I am not sure if they have been vaccinated against deadly rabies and other related disease. I request the BMC to take this issue up and look in to this area of the street dog issue urgently before any fatality occurs.

Thank you,

Vijay

Dear Sir,

I live in Bhakti Park Colony in Wadala East. There are more than 50 street dogs in this colony and their strength is increasing day by day. They pose threat to residue t especially senior citizen and kids living here. The colony has 25 acre as garden where all these dogs roam and especially during night they bark on us an at times come running towards is in attacking mode. Today in park one of these dogs came running to my 3.5 years son. He was barking and wanted to attack him. Luckily I was standing not very far from my son and could reach well in time to save him else don't know what would have happened. All this happened so fast that I had to push my son one side to face the dog. My son got so scared that he kept crying out of fear for half an hour. He was shivering.

So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send Dog catcher team immediately in this area so that we can get rid of this problem soon.

Yours faithfully
