[Resolved]  Calcutta Traffic Police — False Allegation of Traffic Signal Violation

Sir,
I have received a notice from the Calcutta Traffic Police department that they have found my car have violated traffic signal on 24th April '08 time 12.20pm u/s 133 and the case no is aaTW02322/08.

I want to put to your notice that 24th April 2008 I was on leave and my car is self driven. I have not left my residence with my car at all and also the place mentioned " is Brabourne road Canning St.Crossing" Where I have never been there on foot ever, leave alno drive in such a congested area.Beyond that point I also like to put to your notice that it is a normal practice of the traffic department to send this type of notice to car owners to generate revenue for the depatment.
Being a bonafied citizen of India I take full responsibility that I try to save a small ant from comming under the wheels of my car tyre leave alone traffic signal break. Hope some strong authority will take a strong action to crub this false allegation.

Sir, could you please increase the time for pedestrian road crossing?
No sooner the pedestrian signal turns green, the car traffic releases..leaving no time to cross the road.and even people get just hardly 10 seconds(the green signal stays on for that much time) to cross the road.which is virtually impossible for most of the roads(not all). The announcements made on the speaker is virtually useless.(Eg. sukia street)
i have also received such false notice from kolkata traffic police & in the notice there is no authirised signature.my car was not present at that area and that time which is metioned in that notice!!!
