[Resolved]  CIBIL — Discrepancy in CIBIL report

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have applied for Housing loan LIC, during the process i recd an information that my CIBIL report reflects some unknown credit card with huge outstanding. So the Loan was stopped.

I requested CIBIL to give me the Fresh report, wherein i have recd with the same discrepancy as reported by LIC.

I Enquired the 2 banks which has wrongly updated my account in CIBIL.

HSBC Bank & ICICI Bank, Both the banks orally (phone banking)admitted that the shown Credit card account in CIBIL doesnot relate to me. But not have send a correction mail or Letter to CIBIL to update the records.

This process has been more than 2 months, till now no one has taken concrete action to update my records.

This has totally affected my loan process, & my Builders has already informed to charges 10% Interest charge on the amount to be paid by the Loan. If iam not paying the amount before end of this week, I may loose the property & the advance amount which i have paid to Builder.

So, This is an serious issues as far as iam concerned, I need the report to be cleared immediately.

All the 3 organization has to pay the compensation - HSBC, ICICI, CIBIL.

CIBIL - has no right to store wrong information about me, & no right to declare the same to other entity.
HSBC & ICICI - Has to shoulder the responsbility of providing the wrong information in the CIBIL database & therby stopping my loan process.

I need concrete action on the 3 organization.

This has totally affected my loan process, & my Builders has already informed to charges 10% Interest charge on the amount to be paid by the Loan. If iam not paying the amount before end of this week, I may loose the property & the advance amount which i have paid to Builder.

So, This is an serious issues as far as iam concerned, I need the report to be cleared immediately.

I truly agree with above mentioned informations as the same happened with me, A loan worth 15 lakhs is reflecting in my CIBIL report. That is a Business loan though I am a Salaried Individual as per [protected]@cibil.com this loan worth 15 lakhs had been sanctioned through CITICORP but through the ID's I was havinf i.e. [protected]@citicorp.com & [protected]@afsindia.com, My problem is yet unresolved.

I am also facing similar problem. I had pre-closed a personal loan from ICICI bank in March-April 2009 but the same is still appearing in my CIBIL report and is not closed.

On contacting the bank thoruh mail, I was told that this request cannot be handled by the e-mail channel. On calling the helpline nos., I was made to hold again and again since evertime the executive on the phone told ne that my call is being forwarded to another department. I could not get any response ever and the loan is still open.

I was told by the phone banking executive that the bank send records to CIBIL at regular intervals and when my name will not be in the list of people running loans in the next report to CIBIL, my loan will automatically show as closed. But nothing happened.

Now this is affecting my total market liabilities and everytime I go for a loan to some bank, I have to explain this to them and show the NOC received from ICICI for that loan. But despite this, two banks have rejected my loan applications.

It took more than 2 months for me to get the clearnace on my loan from LIC.
I applied to CIBIL for fresh report which shows the bank name with the last 4 digit credit card for which the outstanding amount is reported.
With the help of this information, i approached both the banks through Phone banking, online customer care to get the details. But nobody gave me proper response.
I wrote a mail to the top officials of Nodal officer to clear the account, then approached collection centre in chennai personally & asked for explanation, Collection manager requested me to provide the full credit card details which CIBIL has not provided to me. The collection manager pretend to be an who knows very well that nobody gives the full credit card no. but they request for it, for which the irresponsible CIBIL doesnot have the answer.
So, I need to adopt a different statergy of sitting in front of Collection office & trying to slap the collection manager etc... This has yielded the attention of the higher official who has immediately said to clear the reports.
Atlast both the banks after 2 months gave me an mail saying that the account doesnot relates to me, With the mail i was able to get the loan from LIC.

For past 8 to 9 months i have recd min 5 calls every month requesting for the information to deal with the discrepancy in CIBIL reports. I ilke to say to my friends please be merciless to the people whom you are approaching for explanation. all these banks has the record they can tell you within 10 min that the discrepancy account belongs to you or not. But they will never do. You need to make them to do so.

Donot approach CIBIL for any clarification, they are totally waste. They have Tape which is running what ever may you ask " we will investigate & revert back after 90 days". Ask the same after 30 days you will get the same message.
