Country Club — fraud

Just wanted to make you aware of this..

Never take/accept any offer from Country Club (I) Ltd. Membership. The crooked Sales guys of Country Club will give you lots of commitmentsa and offers in terms of membership benefits, and will simple take away your money.

There are 1000+ complaints posted about Country Club at various Consumer forums.

Unfortunately I am also a victim, so just felt alerting you too. I have already registered a case against CCIL in New Delhi Consumer Court Forum, Udyog Sadan. Case No. 62/09. The case is on and court has already issued a notice to CCIL.

If you go through the enclosed mail transaction below, which I have been sending to CCIL then you get the detail story and how they treat their members.

It was pleasant to be a part of your Family, but unfortunately its not anymore…

In continuation to my last mails… I am seriously disappointed with you and your so called Facility/Services or benefits… etc etc and etc…

I don’t want to write any other story here, and just want to tell you that I am not SATISFIED and I am not proud/happy to be a part/member of this Country Club. Hence forth, I want to withdraw my membership and I want my MONEY BACK.

I have not used any single Facility of your Club till date and neither willing to.

The feedbacks about your club are posted by many people and visible to everyone.

Do you have any answer or clarification on the above?

The above are just few example…actually there are more than 100 posts. I also had a word with some people and they all had same BAD experience and they are also disappointed. Some of them are Ms. Kavita (Delhi, Laxmi Nagar, who is fortunately a good friend of mine and a victim) and Mr. Sashi (from Bangalore, a friend of my friend).

Hence forth, I don't want to be the next victim... (but unfortunately I am already in some extend)

I have already discussed this matter with my legal advisor and I know what steps to take further.

As advised, I am sending you in written (over mail and email both) regarding this concern and request you cancel my membership and return my money back. Else I am forced to approach consumer court on this regard. Needless to mention that I have enough evidence on this and the above-mentioned people are also ready to give their best.

If I do not get a positive response within next 7 days, then I will register a case at Consumer Court. I will also share this happening with Media along with all other victims.

Hope, you understand this... Pls don’t take this is as a warning and take this as a humble request.

Thanks for your response and prompt action.

But, note my queries are still unanswered..?? I need a clarification against each point which I have shared in my first mail.

I have still not received the receipts of my payments.. Membership cards of my parents not received.. Letter which would state my membership details and benefits, as committed by Deputy Manager is still pending?? Details of club and facilities not shared.. etc etc..

Kindly note, I would be expecting a positive response within 48 hours with a clarification on my each query. I would appreciate if a senior person from north regional office or head office contact me in-person for the same. Else, this would be my last mail communicational and after this I will take appropriate action. If required I will register a case against both the Sales Managers and Country Club Ltd. I would also send a mass message to all other citizens that do not ever trust any CCIL Sales Manager and don't accept any CCIL membership offer..

FYI.. the email IDs printed in you brochures [protected]@yahoo.com & [protected]@countryclubmail.com are not correct as mails marked to these email address are getting bounced back. ????

I was extremely excited when I planned and decided to join Country Club, and actually I was waiting long for the same.

I applied for this membership in the first week of June, and since then I have been continuously experiencing de-satisfaction of your service.

Today, I find all words of the Sales Managers (whom I met while planning for the membership) FAKE & FALSE.

I made an advance payment of 40,000/- (through my credit card) dated on 04/06/08 post meeting with a Asst Sales Manager from New Delhi Country Club office (NFC). I was then asked to pay the balance amount within next 2 months (Total membership = 1,75,000/- after 25% discount).

I would like to highlight couple of things here, which were committed to me before taking the membership and the payment. All turned to be false later on…

· I can have free access to all affiliated clubs (near about 350+) and can have free access to the Gym, Swimming Pool, etc..

· I will get a temporary card within 7 working days and can use it for access to all Clubs, including affiliated ones.

· I will have 3 Nights 4 Days Holiday Package for next 15 years – Later on I got to know this is valid only for 5 years…

· My nearest affiliated club is Neeti Bagh (from my resident location, South Ex) and I can use their Swimming Pool using the Temporary Card, and as well as their Gym --- When I went to the Club after taking the membership, I happened to know there is no Gym, in the swimming pool they allow only with photo identity card. No temporary card is allowed.

· I will get full paid trip to Dubai along with my membership.

Few more, which I think useless to mention….

The day when I went to Neeti Bagh club using the temporary card, and happened to know that there was no Gym at all, plus they don't allow any temporary member to the swimming pool.. I called up the CCIL Asst SM and shared this concern. I was then told to wait for a day so that all these can be clarified with the concern.

A day later I got a call from the same Asst SM and was told that now affiliated clubs have changed their rules, and this has happened after few drunk people (members) created some nuisance at Kirti Bagh club. So, now they all will only allow when a member will have a permanent card..

Immediately my questions were…

· What about the Gym? Why I was told that I have a Gym facility there?

· How come these issues didn't come and was not shared up when we had a 1 hour discussion before taking this membership?

· How come all of a sudden all affiliated clubs have changed their rules, when just two days back it was told to me that I can have full access using the temp card?

· If this is just due to few drunk people's behavior, then what is the action Country Club has planned to take?

· Does it mean that just because of few such people all other members of this club will have to suffer?

· What are the Do's & Don'ts of Country Club? Why there is no strict policy to cancel a membership in such cases?

And, as expected the CCL Asst. Sales Manager had no ANSWER to any of the above questions...

Now, this was high time for me… and hence I made it very clear to him that I am not going to pay the balance amount unless and until all my queries are answered and would also wish to meet a senior person of your club before I take any final decision regarding this membership.

I also asked him to send me the list of all affiliated clubs and their facilities + CCL's rules & regulations for members on my email ID. This was never sent, till date..

After couple of weeks his senior called me up and committed me to resolve my issue. We fixed up for a meeting at my place for further discussion and for the clarification on the points I raised earlier. During this meeting I surprisingly happened to know that all those 5 points (which I have highlighted above/top) are not correct, and the ASM has provided incorrect information.

Well finally, after 2 hours of discussion and lots of arguments, the Deputy Manager (Sales & Mkt) clarified my all doubts and asked me to pay the balance amount ASAP, as it is already delayed. He committed me that he will be sending a complete detailed letter stating my membership benefits and the facilities (as committed), list of all affiliated clubs + their facilities, etc, etc..

I provided the details of my credit cards on the same day, post meeting, for the payment of balance amount.

Now, note;

· Till date I haven't receive the detailed letter, as committed.

· My temporary card has already expired dated on 5th August'2008, and I have not yet received the permanent one.

· List of affiliated clubs + their facility details not yet shared..

· Payment receipt of the balance amount paid, still not received..

Note, I have paid my total membership fee in last week of July itself…

I have been continuously doing a follow up and have called up the gentleman for the above pending requirements. Every time there is some and some excuse. Sometimes people are not available due to month end, sometimes there is an audit going on, sometimes the junior person is travelling, etc , etc…

Its good that the CCIL Sales people are setting up their own targets and trying to convince the customers for the payments in this way, and after that they just don't bother about their commitments..But I am just wondering that are you really realizing that what kind of impact you going to have in the public? What if I share this entire story of fake commitments with Media? What if I register a case in consumer court?

Last time when I had a word the Dy. Manager (Sales & Mkt) of NFC office, I frankly told that this would be my last call and if I do not get a positive response within a week time, then I will take necessary action…

Hence, I am writing to you as a first course of action. I am now seriously tired up calling these guys to get the status and the pending requirements..

I am expecting a strong clarification xon this…

Hello ...,

I am 100 % agree for that and countryclub's service..." VERY VERY POOR" They are only colleting the money & cheated reputed people in whole country.
