I agree with your comments. This is how the school is. Both my daughters are in the school. The worst thing is, even though the govt has given the notice that the school should charge a total of Rs.25, 000 for 11th std, the school has charged more than 30K. This includes 2500 for notebooks only(16 of them) and 2610 for uniforms. I took the uniforms to the tailor for stitching and they said the cloth is not enough. When I approach the school, they are willing to give me that extra cloth but I have to pay for it. Exhorbitant! Who will ask these money devils?
I am ready to represent the issues to the management but I need the help of all the parents who really feel that these issues have to be addressed. I have done this many times but nothing has happened. As someone said above, there has to be a parents association where issues faced by the kids are address and a solution is decided upon.

SDAV, ADAMBAKKAM, ...is a pure crap. . . i feel this is the worst school of chennai. . they charge a hell lot of money from the school children...charging a bus fee of rs.15000/yr for a mere 2 km drive ...and that too the students are treated like the animals in the bus...about 140 students are sent into the bus which has a capacity of 60. . so i feel blue cross Dog vans are far better...so why the heck they collect the money then???? most of the students would have to stand with their bags(even the KG school children are asked to bring all the books to school daily...the children spine would surely bend and make them look worse in future...)) without getting seat...and they are admitting only students who are above 85% ...and then they are showing attractive results in public exams. . . whats the big deal in training the higher grade students...if they are really trust worthy, they could have taken the lower grade students and make them great...so they are purely for business...so this shows that they are the fraud agencies...still the government is not taking any actions...which makes me sad...atleast the government should show there power with this monstrous private schools...i'm not a stupid to admit my child to this crap school...so parents beware...dont just see the name...they make the child a mugging up machine...and making them mad...just think once before admitting ur energetic kids...dont make them machines...

dear all blaming the managment is very easy but go and know the old history of this school, people telling like this is very easy the chairman of this school to bring this school to high standard he never care about his family and his health but want to have good school in this locality due to this he was working permanant nightshift going daily by bullet and morning working for school dvelopment like this, this school reached its groth, now everybody blame thie family, go and see his home you will understand, dont just see the car and say plenty money is their, running a school is not an easy thing, i know people now started school like a bussiness but don, t put this school in that list, it developed by the school screatery hard work and his sons dedecation, pls don't blame without knowing anything
I read all the comments in this posts its toll-ally mixed feeling for me like good and bad...Some people are saying that if you are not satisfied with the school why you want to put your kid in other school... Is this a way of approaching professionalism...Very bad same on you... Lot of bad things are coming from my mouth..

One is in I std and other in Prekg... If first son was reading the news paper and explaining me clearly and also asking meaning for some of the sentences...
I am double degree holder i personally remember even when i am studding 6th std i am not able to read the book or paper at that time since i have studied in very good school in chennai. This is what they are providing in DAV...
Every body is taking about the Bus, van, toilet, watchman, management...but the quality of CBSe is more than compare with any other school...
As far as compliments related to infra we will just speak to the management and easily fix the same. I can see lot of problem but the education is very good... Literally they are going to study only 12 years in this place why you want to put all your comments and though in management. Give the quality time with the kid and ask them what they want and put them in private coating. (Extra curricular activities)
Just think about 25 years back toilet and restroom in schools... This will be ok...

This is to report about the Arrogant and Threatening action of the Mr.Rajendran Principal of SDAV and Ms.Geetha, Principal of DAV School, Adambakkam.
I furnish here below the details of the incident happened at the School premises on 08th June 2013
My Daughter is now studying in 12th Standard at SDAV School. She was the student of DAV school run by the same management in the same premises since LKG to 10th Standard, and completed 11th Std at SDAV school.
We were called by the Management to attend the Parent’s meet today at school premises. Based on the verbal call sent thru the student, self along with my daughter visited the school by 9.00AM to attend the meet. The Parents meet was not conducted in proper way with all the parents. We were asked to wait outside the hall where the meeting is being conducted and individual parents were called separately for the discussions. During the meeting we were asked by the staff member to pay an amount of Rs 34.900/- towards fees for the academic year 2013-14, and further said that this total amount is to be paid by cash only, in single payment, and Installment payments on each term are not allowed.
When asked for the details, I was informed that the break up amounts is -Tuition fees: Rs 29, 900/-+ Note books Charges +Rs 3800/- + Uniform Charges Rs 1200. When asked for the written communication for the Fee structure, they refused to give the same. Further they said that the receipt will be given for Only Rs 16, 000/ and the balance amount will not be acknowledged by any receipts. I was asked to meet the Principal for the further details.
When I was walking towards the Principal office, Mr.Rajendren (principal of SADV) and Ms.Geetha (Principal of DAV) were found on the way talking to somebody near the office building. I approached him and politely asked him for the clarification.
Mr.Rajendren said that, as a general public we were not aware of the school requirements. As the management has to pay heavy amounts to many peoples to run the school, they have no other option but to collect the Un-accounted money from the parents. He had listed many honourable persons including Local councilor, Municipal officials, Local police personal, Education department official and director, political leaders etc, to whom they will take care. Hence they will not issue any receipts for the partial amount being collected.
I once again informed him that, even though fee amount demanded is seems to be higher I shall pay the entire amount as stipulated by the school, but requested receipt for the total amounts.
At this stage he suddenly turned violent and stared abusing me with un-parliamentary words, and shouted in Rude and arrogant manner. He threatened me that they will send out my daughter by issuing Transfer certificate and will not give any conduct certificate also.
When I questioned about his misbehavior and threatening attitude, Ms.Geetha and One more Person Mr. Saravanan (Brother of Mr.Rajendren) also started shouting against us. Mr.Rajendren and Mr. Saravanan attempted to beat me up, but was prevented by some other staff, who gathered around. Ms Geetha called security staff, and soon we were surrounded by a group of persons lead by Rajendren and Saravanan, and they were trying to attack me once again. Mr. Rajendren challenged me that he will go to any extent and threatened again that I will have face dire consequences if we question him.
Ms.Geetha intervened and shouted in a very rude manner that she will not allow my daughter to enter the school premises any more, and will ensure to dismiss her immediately.
We were forcefully, Physically, Pushed out of the school premises.
We were shocked by the total rude attitude of the School management, and the arrogant attacking behavior of the team lead by Mr.Rajendren. We were caught in-between a group of rowdy like persons and were helpless, had to run out for our safety.
We could not digest the attitude of repeatedly threatening the student and Parent by means of issuing TC, Just because we asked for receipts for the amount to be paid.
The Insulting treatment and Physical attempt to assault, we had met at the school premises in-front many staff members and Parents had caused great amount mental agony, tension, and we are very much worried about the further study and future of my child. The safety and security of my child is also found not guaranteed under the un-lawful Threatening leadership of Mr.Rajendren and his team. My daughter is frightened and afraid of going to school.
It is highly regretted that The School which is supposed to lead the students for a disciplined character, is turning into a Un secured violent spot for the Student and Parents.

A very bad methodology following to twelfth students How they are finishing portions in six months by two methods one is teachers another is experts the student of DAV slowly become mad. Teachers highly de motivating persons. Principal sir where you caught the teachers like LATHAGOMATHY, G.B.USHA, MEENA.You should teach them how to behave with the parents and students.You know something seventeen years is the important and also life deciding year. You should have the responsibility not only collecting fees. Experts are good but teachers are confusing especially maths for ten marks sums PUSHKALA miss use to byheart the sums how damid things please save your school students. SDAV-the worst.Ihave not seen any other worst school like this.PUSHKALA, MEENA, USHA, L.G -WHAT SORT OF CHARACTER THESE TEACHERS HAVE.These teachers are equal to illiterate people.l.g-chem dept.-the horrible person.She sleeps during class hours.If anyone complains she holds the internal marks.I have a doubt.Will their salary get digested?Definitely not.But all these people are very good actors before the management.I give them a caution.If you people want your future generations to live properly please dont threaten and torture the students.Their curse will definitely not live you.L.G told a student that he/she will fail in board exam.She/he has scored 165 in the same subject.Where will you take your face.Shame on you.I feel like spitting on you teachers.MEENA-bio dept-she only aims at her favourite students.I think she can do any other wrong business than this sort of treatment to the students.You are spoiling the future generation.PUSHKALA-maths dept.-hard worker and the highest demotivator.As 12th teacher you should have a positive attitude on students.Your method of doing sums is as if expert is wrong.But actually expert is correct.Why do you take ten pages for a ten mark sum.Expert takes only two pages.Are they fools?Because of you many students get confused and loose marks in board exam.G.B USHA-phy dept.-she wants everyone to attend coaching class.She is an expert in demotivating students who do not attend the coaching.But it is really a waste of time attending phy &chem coaching.A student scored 47/200 with her coaching.But without coaching the student scored 187/200 in board exam.For what hair she is giving coaching?These people conduct coaching only for the extra salary they get in the cover.Please dont join in that school.SAVE YOUR FUTURE!!!
The school teachers are very negligent regarding the kids safety. The 3rd std kids are forced to leave the school permises whether their parents/guardian/drivers are available or not. It is said that the kids will have to wait on the road for 10 mins and after the entire class (12 sections) are dispersed they have to go to the office room. I almost lost my kid on that day. I was searching her for almost 30 mins while the class teacher was reluctant to answer. She said "GO SEARCH ON THE ROADS". IRRESPONSIBLE TEACHERS. My daughter came running from behind the school van where she was hiding since they forced her to go out. She is just 7 yrs old and started getting severe wheeze from the same day.

Hi, My name is Rashima sahotra . I worked in bagni DAV school nurpur for 3 year. Even i have worked in ranibow international school in the past and even in college in DAV school in jalandhar. I am a M.SC biology B.ed .My interview was scheduled in the month of may for the 4th year for the same post which is strange and abnormal i was not seleclected for the same post Even i had no complaint against me where in i was not selected however result for biology was good. but still i am out there is way of saying no i went for interview on sunday i was never infromed i went to school on tuesday thinking that i will continue with job as per my regular schedule but i was informed i am fired this is not the way i should be fired school management played with my carrier in the month of May they schedule an interview which is not right i cannot apply to any other school for one year what will i do for the same year My daughter is just 2.5 year old i Admitted her in the same school in LKG class so that she can study and i can take care of her as well but i am fired i will never join this pathetic organization and will never my relatives or my known people to join thi pathetic origination. My father is retierd as a teacher i am not very poor my husband runs a good business my brother lives in london works in TCS he in an project manger in T CS but i dont want to use any of my contacts in my job i would have agreed if my i have any problem with my teaching skills but students have no problem still i am fired just because of personal grudges this is really embarrassing i am fired without any notice noboday informed me which is not right .DAV has no right to hurt my self respect i never took any leave in last 2 years i was working like its my home but the way i am terminated is not right you guys hurt my self respect which in not right what i feel is i did not get justice in the hometown of 3rd cheif justice of india. I have no trust on DAV society and even its a complete case of injustice in the town of 3rd cheif justice of india whatever happend to me should not happen to anyone if they need to take an interview they should take it in the month of feb. or march so that they dont get chance to play with anyone else carrier Its my humble request to DAv society if it really exist plesase look into it what even happen to me should not happen to anyone in india who works with dav schools its a big shame for DAV schools and even DAV soceity .With regards[protected], [protected]

I too have a very bitter experience with DAV Adambakkam school and planning to file a case against the school, having with some proofs. I have reached the school for more than 20 times and sent register letter for two time but no response. I have been following for refunding the fees for last two months and now I am loosing my patience.
I am sure school management will not have good future or healthy life if they trying to cheat the people. They can reduce the amount to some extent but not the entire amount of Rs.54, 000/- (LKG Fees)
Please let me know, if some one want to join with me for filing the case with the available proofs.

Immaterial of many petty complaints viewed here that which speaks finally is a well disciplined settled career which I get for my two kids. One can understand the value of Dav once we go abroad or shift to another school

Yes. I also noticed today how they are sending students out of their school. My son is studying in 3rd std. More than 300 parents were waiting outside the gate along with lots of van drivers. They have opened the door at 12.30PM and parents tried to enter as usual, one intelligent teacher asked all parents to behave properly and go out. They want to send the buses first. Buses came one by one, while other students were waiting in the ground under sunlight. Bus drivers struggled and get some space out among parents and went out.
Again the door closed for no reason. It opened after 5 minutes. We could see lots of students coming out in 6 rows pushing each other from back side because teachers are keep sending their class students out side. But outside all parents were standing to identify and pick thier kids, It was horrible moment for any parents to see their kids coming out like this and studying in such a stupid school. I wish Mr.Varadharajan, Principal and so called G Sir should stand in between that crowd and feel how tough it is.
After 25 years of experince also they couldnot fix the basic issue how to regulate the traffic and how to safe the students. They should go and see how it is managed in some schools like Velammal, DAV Mogappair etc.
When we admit our kids in school, we believe that school will have basic amenities and regulation to follow. I am still wondering how these punch of jokers can teach discipline to their students. I dont want to take TC, because there are many students studying like my son. We need to resolve their problem too, I appreciate the effort to start parents assosiation
