While i am happy to know that Your mother treatment went well, i would like to disagree with your comments on Dr.Ganapathy Ramanan. One reason being that i am one of his many patients who has lived though the cancer scare to vouch that he is certainly one of the best doctors around.
I am not certain about the history of your mothers treatment but it would be totally wrong to say that Dr Ramanan has no skills in treating cancer patients.

Dr G Ramanan is one the best medical oncologist in India. And I am totally disagree with mr Kumarmail .
im shocked to c mr. Kumar's mail wherein he had stated dat Dr. Ramanan has no skills in treating cancer patients. I m totally concerned with his comments cos... i m one of his patient for d past 5 yrs...n i was treated my Dr. Ramanan. Now im perfectly cured n healthy now. He s not at all money minded n he s doing so many awareness campus regarding cancer...n treating many poor people...
Ramanan is one of the best Oncologist in india. They are four members team, they always discuss with each other and take decison. Parted from Chennai Cancer institute. Mr. Mani treated one of my family member and she got well from cancer. You can meet then in kumaran hospital or in apollo. They also run cancer research and relif trust, poor people can take treatment via this mode.

Although I am happy to know that your mother is doing well, I would strongly disagree with your comments on Dr.Ganapathy Ramanan. His Skills and clinical acumen can never be questioned and till now I don't see anyone in the field of medical Oncology who has the ability to do so.

Dr Ganapathi Ramanan is one of the best doctors and has one of the sharpest minds and skills required to treat patients of cancer. The way he conducts himself infront of his patients and his students is an inspiration to many doctors.

Lucky kumarsmail you were able to save your mother. Ramanan might be a best Oncologist but he does not treat empathetically a patient. He never gives proper information to caregivers when asked for until the patient is about to die. They just work like machines, I lost my wife due to their wrong treatment, without treatment she could have survived for 2 years. I posted a huge story in Face Book but with their influential skills were able to remove it. Vikash Mahajan is another person who does not know what he is doing. He opens the abdomen of a patient then he realises that the tumor cannot be removed, pathetic. Why are you asking to remove such posts, if you are so confident please provide the success rate in your so called MCCF.
I want my above comment to stay in place, if I find its gone missing, I am a webmaster and I know how to make things go viral.. I do not want any terminal cancer patients to be put in to more pain. I want them to be more informed.
I would like to first say that MCCF is simply superb, awesome, very professional and humane.
Dr Ramanan is fantastic. He keeps the patients and their families very motivated. He goes out of the way to clear any doubts you may have and gives personal attention to each case in spite of his busy schedule.

My Mother has been Dr Ramanan's patient since 2011 and is doing fine. The disease will not go away. But because of his care and attention along with Dr Ayappan's intervention, situation is very much under control. Please avoid making derogatory remarks just because you think Doctors don't do their job well. He is exceptional and his team is doing a great job.
THE MCCF TEAM IS BEST TEAM FOR CANCER IN CHENNAI. I HAVE MANY EXPERENCE WITH DR. AYYAPPAN SIR & DR RAMANAN SIR. THEY ARE BEST DOCTOR FOR CANCER .THEY GOT VERY TALENT. THE COST OF TRATEMENT IS CHIPERIF WE COMPARE WITH OTHER PLACE. ALL OUTSIDE TEST ALSO AT CONCESSION RATE. I HATS OF MCCF TEAM.
i wanted to inform all the readers that the comments posted by Kumar which is the first blog that appears as u search for Dr Ganapati ramanan is not correct .as much he has a right to share his experience I humbly request readers to go through the comments of other readers who have immensely benefited because of his treatment . My father who is 89 years of age was treated by Dr Ganapati Ramanan, fully of bone marrow cancer ( stage 4) . Other doctors had ruled his survival for not more than 6 months n it is just beciz we reached out to Dr Ganapati ramanan in time we cud save him . We had a fantastic experience undergoing treatment under Dr Ganapati ramanan . Anand
I know the Dr.Ramanan since 2008. He is one of the best doctors in chennai. His treatment is excellent. He is soft spoken person and service minded doctor. Due to treatment my mother survived for 6 years. I can't him till my last breath. God bless him.
My mother is Dr. Ramanan's patient. She is a stage 2 uterine and ovarian cancer survivor.
In our house we think of Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan like God.
Yes, my mother was saved by Dr. Ramanan's chemo and Dr. Aiyappan's surgery - but that is not the reason why we keep them on such a high pedestal.
The reason is : Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan, treat each patient like one of their own family members
… be it, the patients at Apollo or the financially disadvantaged patients that they help at Kumaran Hospital.
The 6 rounds of chemo were very traumatic for my mother - as she has always been a very weak and fragile person. She had to be rushed to emergency many times. And the chemo affected her psychologically as well. But Dr. Ramanan was very astute and attentive to the signs and changed the treatment accordingly. He supported my mother every step of the way. He was always available, when we called / texted him panic-stricken. He has a way of calming both patients and caregivers. He takes the time to understand the psychology of each patient and he knows when to encourage, when to reprimand and when to cajole. He was always ready to answer the questions of the patient (my mother) and 3 caregivers. And he explained the treatment and side-effects in layman's terms. He was also open minded and willing to discuss alternative treatment strategies with us.
If my mother had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, the odds would have been stacked against her and she may not have survived, despite the excellent treatment given by Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan. We have to understand that doctors are only human - all they can do is offer the best medical treatment - but the fate of a patient is decided by God.
PS: Before my mother was diagnosed with cancer and before she became Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan's patient - she was treated by a gynecologist who performed a hysterectomy though there were a few signs that indicated that my mother may have cancer. The gynecologist could have picked up the indications and referred my mother to cancer specialists instead of performing the hysterectomy herself. That way, my mother would have had to have only one surgery instead of two. But the gynecologist is also human after all. I don't blame her for the decision she took. But I do blame her for the rude way in which she treated us when we realized that my mother had cancer - she was very cold and defensive.
Our previous bad experience with the gynecologist just made us appreciate even more, the excellent care that Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan give patients. And that's why we think of Dr. Ramanan and Dr. Aiyappan like God in our house.

god please save people life, please let the people read the review and stay away from this fake doctor.
he doesn't know what to treat and he doesn't know whether is his treatment is improving the patient health.
But he is clever to understand patient family money background, once he feel he collected enough money by troubling the patient for one or two year treatment then he will tell patient everything is alright and you can go.
but bottom line patient got worsen then improving his health
i am The true victim.. and god knows and will decide this doctor future for sure..

I had really bitter experience with this Doctor, first of all I can't acknowledge he is a doctor. I recomend police to verify his education background. because i doubt he might have bought his doctor degree or made fake degree.

ganapathy ramanan will enjoy patient money and the pain even though he knows his treatment not working. he will give so many chemo even though it is of no use..
his aim is Money and Not the patient life.
God please punish him and he is not fit for doctor profession.
I came to know from my friend that all the good reviews made here by his employees only.
thanks
Vijay

As much as doctors are entitled for their reputation, patients and care givers are entitled to know the progress and effects of the treatment. I can understand what the family goes during these trial times. Right now we are in that stage with my mother undergoing chemo. Its financially, physically and emotionally draining for the entire family.

I will not bluntly go ahead and bash Doctor Ramanan, but I understand the mental state of patients and their loved ones especially when it comes down to cancer.
But there are certain things I want Dr. Ramanan to understand in his mode of treatment, having talked to so many people possibly hundreds of them through my blog post, one of the main reason patients suffer a lot in their final stages is Chemotherapy and its terrible side effects, Doctors should not bluntly advice for more chemotherapy when things get pretty obvious that its not working, plus chemo medicine is not even a medicine, its a toxin in to the system and patients suffer a lot more than they would do with cancer in their final stages and the main reason for it is Chemo.
When cancer cells are not responding to chemo therapy Doctors should get more open with the cancer patient and tell them that its not working anymore and be straight to the face, but instead when they suggest for more Chemo, knowing the truth that it has no power over cancer cells anymore.
I do not know about other Doctors from other hospitals but Dr. Ramanan suggested more and more chemo for my Mother's Ovarian cancer despite knowing the fact its not working anymore, why? just because her test reports showed she is healthy enough to take more chemotherapy and when her health condition got more worse, they Dr.Gani suggested chemo tablets, as if its going to make things better.
When we asked why they prescribed for more chemo despite knowing the fact that its not working, their reply was just plain simple, to make her feel better!! I cannot honestly accept that claim, chemo makes a patient feel better? if they think it does, its being ignorant after treating so many cancer patients, that raises a degree of doubt like are they doing it for money? Most likely.
Also they failed to inform me in advance about her condition, its only when I voluntarily sat in front of the Dr. Gani and enquired about her condition he came out with a statement claiming that she doesn't have more than 6 months time left and chemo stopped working in the second cycle, but they prescribed for more chemo because they thought it would make her feel better.
I will not say Dr. Ramanan is a bad Doctor, but they should know to timely inform the patients or the patient's attender about their condition and not just bluntly prescribe for more chemo when its not working and add more pain to everyone. Why suggest for more chemo when its not working? to make more money from patient's pain?
My Mom would have gone through a less painful death if it were not for these Doctor's lethargy in informing about their condition in advance and we could have even had enough time to test other alternative medicine to make whatever time she had left a quality one, but they ruined it with more chemo and that's the blunt truth. She had 18 cycles of chemo.. and two months of chemo tablets.
Other than this big hole in his way of approach with terminal cancer patient, he is a good Doctor with enough experience.
Regards. I will miss my Mom and her painful death will always remain as a scar in my heart, and people I would blame for it would be these careless Doctors for terminal stage cancer patients.
