This is regarding a long standing issue I've had with Ebay. I've listed out the issue below:
- Received a Rs. 6000 product damaged
- I emailed the seller with the photos of the product. 7 days later, seller says case closed cos i didn't send photos
- Emailed Ebay Customer Service and a claim was filed (claim No,. 54430)
- Yogesh from their team emailed asking me to ship the product and send a proof of payment in order to get a refund
- I emailed Yogesh 3 times that i did not want a refund and that I wanted a replacement. I didn't get a response. Finally, I received an email from Yogesh saying case is closed as they did not receive proof of payment
- Then started my really painful experience with Ebay Customer Service. I called them 4 - 5 times and spent upwards of 5 hours on the phone with them. They told me just one thing -- once claim is closed it cannot be reopened. Here is how a standard call with ebay goes:
- They place you on hold for good period of time
- Return with useless piece of information
- Place on hold again and 1 of 2 things happen:
1. The call gets disconnected
2. They promise a call back from someone which hasn't happened till date
