The number is active even now and trying to reach other customers. I also got a call but sure enough I would not give out any credit card details on phone - whatever the incentive on offer.
I think the blame is to be equally shared by the gullible credit card holder. But then, ICICI should have by now tracked the number and got the offenders arrested and it is really disturbing to see that the number continues to be in existence.

EBL-CLUB LEISURE — Cheated by ebl-club leisure in the name of ICICI Bank and make a transaction of Rs.5509.00 in my credit card
With reference to the above subject, I Mahendran holding a credit card No. [protected]I would like to inform you that on 18th Sep 2010, one person called me to my mobile no. [protected] (Phone number [protected]) and he introduced himself as a ICICI Bank person and he enquired about credit card service after that he told me you are been selected as a privilege customer and for you we are offering discount voucher for domestic and international air ticket, two wrist watch, and one card with this card you can get discount up to 20% on purchase of jewelry for this you have to provide the detail of your credit card. I also believe that this call was from ICICI Bank due to this believe straight away I gave the details of the card number and CVV number over through phone. After that I saw the message on my phone on Sunday 19th Sep 2010, in that the message like a transaction of INR 5,509.00 on 18-SEP-10 on card xxxx 7009 is made at EBL-CLUB LEISUR. Available Cr.limit is Rs.24.498.23. Total Cr.limit is Rs.30,000.00, I really shocked and made a call to customer care and told the things which are happened to me (Mr. Karthick Customer care executive) and immediately the card also been blocked on my request because to avoid the merchant misuse.
The ICICI bank customer care executive Miss Priya gave me a one mobile number of that merchant[protected] I tried so many times the number in the mode of voice message service only so again now I trying to explain this situation to the ICICI Bank and am waiting for the proper solution for this problem
