[Resolved]  EIILM,kolkata — real/fake

I want to know about Bengal institute of Business management (BIBS), kolkata . I know its a new institute, but I have heard that its placement record id good enough...can anybody suggest me anything regarding this matter ???

dear people i am a pass out of EIILM 2008 -10 batch and i am now working for a good reputed company at a very good package and i got campus placement also . so i dont think that it depends on institute but on you yourself that how you do in ur future institutes can only give you guidance and knowladge to use it for ur benifit is in your own hands. there are many people who have passed out from premier MBA institutes but are working for pitiable salary and companies.

EIILM is the only college in East which provide 100% Placement. But again the Placement depends on the caliber of its students. I just want to say one thing about Affiliation. EIILM is the Only private institute in East where PSU Banks Like Allahabad Bank, IDBI Bank Indian Overseas Bank, UBI etc come to the campus for Campus Recruitment( I saw the offer latter and i spoke to the students also). i think thats the biggest certificate for there affiliation, students are getting Govt. Jobs from Campus Placement.

One more thing i want to mention, the person who have started this thread Jayanto kundu, has also got a Placement in Kansai Nerolac Paint with a Fat salary Package. at the time of my admission i saw his offer letter also.

EIILM is the best B School in East for Mediocre students.

Eiilm was 4th b school in east as their record, bt now it is 7 th as per data.

Dea sir, i am confused that whtr to take admission in EIILM KOLKATTA or not,
According to ugc norms, EIILM UNIVERSITY, sikkim is a private university and no private university can affiliate any institute other than its state, so how EIILM KOLKATTA can be considered as valid in providing a diploma or a degree. Moreover i personally contacted with UGC, they said EIILM UNIVRSTY, SIKKIM, is ugc recognised but about EIILM KOLKATTA, it is not ugc recognised, i am really confused and in dillema. Now, Please stop all this discussion.I am final year student of EIILM Kolkata.It is one of the best institute in kolkata which can one only offer abroad placement to mediocre students.It is affiliated to Vidyasagar university.The opportunities and the faculties are great.its

Its upto the students' capability what he can achieve in the placement, the institute can only offer opportunities. There is no credit in placing a CAT 99 percentiler student.Hats off the placement deptt of the Institute as they are placing the students successfully every year consistently.

EIILM, Kolkata a Management Institute of 20 yrs, is Affiliated to Vidyasagar University now. So, please do not mix up the two EIILM University and EIILM, Kolkata. Share the same first name but are legally separate entities. Both are run by different bodies.

Hello I want to know as per the website it shows Eiilm is under vidyasagar university but with the posts given here it says it has collaboration with some sikkim university or PTU. So please let me know what is it actually affiliated with?

I think you must have heard about Siksha.com, please visit that site &amp; also the below link, you'll come to know because after going thru your comments, I think this site will clear your doubts or make you more confuse as it's mentioned some other university name.

I agree with Abhijit instead of going to all these Institutes who claims that they are so called good B-school &amp; placement king with good perks &amp; salary, all of you should try for the top 20 or 50 institutes in India, but Mr. ABHIJIT one harsh reality is these top 20 or 50 institutes don't have that much seats that they can give chances to all the students who have Big Dreams in their eyes. So they have to go for all these colleges. After from this you are partially true that you'll get a job of a lower grade in any company which is equivalent to any graduate degree but you must be aware that after 5-10 yrs when some need some promotion or getting some higher rank job this degree will give boost to that thing because only graduation degree doesn't work everywhere &amp; even an MBA degree from any college can't give the guarantee of a successful life.

My advice is to focus &amp; try to clear the state level entrance test of MBA, so that atleast you'll get the recognition of state level university affiliated to any college, those colleges have more values then this colleges which are having affiliation of external universities.

I'm saying this because I have gone thru this &amp; I have wasted my 2 yrs in MBA got the degree from one of the external university whose having a learning centre but it's image has been created as college or management institute with modern facilities &amp; all crap which has no use if you don't get good placement with salary. After all the hard efforts &amp; money is to get a good job &amp; secure your future at any how.

Someone has commented that UGC has informed that you won't get job in Govt Sector, I think that's wrong if any University giving affiliation to any college or institute outside that state then it's come under Distance Learning but you have to see that is it DEC approved or not. It's a very big certification because that is equivalent to regular degree &amp; u r eligible for any entrance or further studies. You can cross check this thing with any regulatory board which are associated with academic things.

Be Careful before you do anything for which you have to regret later on. Education is no more Nobel job it's a big business &amp; vultures are there to loot you in every possible way.

I passed in 2008 from eiilm with distance education in bcom but now for company’s documentation’s is getting rejected
Is the institute not approved by ugc???

I am a pass out of Eiilm in the year 2009 and have an experience of 9 yrs in banking, recently I got a job in a reputed bank but they are not considering and recognising my PGP diploma certificate .
I have spent nearly 3.5 lakhs and this institution has duped all o[censored]s, I will be registering a complaint at consumer court regarding this till then my advice to everybody ...avoid this institution it's fake
