lost my bag at dubai at airport security
I lost my baggage while travelling between Algria and Mumbai, starting my journey on 17TH DEC ARRIVING MUMBAI ON 18TH DEC VIA EMIRATE.

My family travelled from mumbai to SFO through Emirates(EK 0225) on 25 dec. 2009. Journey started from mumbai to dubai and there after dubai to san francisco. It is almost 2 months since we lost one of our bag during the transit. It seems that emirates airline is totally mishandling the bag and not able to trace it till now. These guys haven't even called us for any compensation although we have already filled Baggage Inventory Form long time back. when we call them they just transfer the call to other place for enquiry . We are kind of totally fed up. It's not the Bag loss that is effecting us anymore; However its the behavior of the Emirates staff that is kind of frustrating. In 2 months time they can't trace the bag. How much time in the world they need to just confirm that bag is finally lost and now its the time to compenate the effected party. I am hoping some help from this forum. My baggage claim no. is SFOEK10926

SAS — inspector refused to change address
The tax inspector is refusing to change my address in the SAS even though i ahve submitted an application for it. He has entered a wrong house number in the computer. He is expecting money to change the money. It seems emirates airlines is a routine offender. Yesterday I lost all of 4 my check-in bags along with some 50+ passengers reporting same. It was Ek0225.
SAS — Loss of baggage
1. File ref of complaint registered at terminal airport (stockholm) with sas : arn sk 90629 on 17 may 08.2. Self and spouse (anita anand) travelled from windhoek (namibia) till jo'burg by south african airways thereafter from jo'burg to dubai (ek 045) on 17 may 08 and dubai to frankfurt by emirates (ek 0674) on 17 may 08 and thereafter to stockholm by sas (sk0674) on 17 may 08. All the baggage was booked by south african airways as interline to stockholm
3. Sas and emirates offices in dubai and frankfurt and new delhi confirm that the baggage comprising two grey coloured 32 inches samson suitcases were despatched from dubai to frankfurtby ek 047 on 17 may 08 and as per latest details by continental to frankfurt. However, there is no trace of the bags thereafter till today i.e after 09 days. 4. Emirates airlines has clearly defaulted in wrong a nd mishandling of my baggage resulting in the loss of very important items of clothing, documents, accrotrements, medicines and accesories.
5. Tthis has caused great harassment and embarrasment to self and spouse while on officila vsit ot sweden. Till date sas has not given any relief / assistance saying that emirates is the defaultinf airlines and they are responsible for the loss of baggage. I also asm of a similiar opinion, since the baggage has been lost in transit betweeen dubai and frnkfurt by emirates airlines.
6. You are therefore requested to pay compensation for the loss, harassment, embarassment and lack of emapthy which has caused great distress to both self and spouse are mentally very disturbed.
7. We would like you to repond to this complaint at the earliest. Otherwise i shall contemplate legal action as deemed necessary.
