[Resolved]  Equitymaster.com — Fraud!! Fraud!! Fraud!!

Equiymaster is good in the past but now a days they are launching too many services very frequently ignoring their existing customer base. They are more into marketing their new services with lot of attractive offers than concentrating on research and recommendation of stocks for their existing subscribers. Equitymaster is picking up some stock randomly and will recommend that buy this stock when it comes 30% down from current price which actually doesn't help you invest your money right a way. Their subscription fee is also higher as they recommend stocks like this every month which are not investable recommendations.

They have too many services leading to confusion and waste of subscribers money. For example, they had Hidden Treasure recommendation service targeted at small cap stocks. Now they had introduced a new service as Microcap Millionaires and the recommendations of which will not be shared with Hidden Treasure subscribers. Once a new service is launched recos you receive as part of old service are all a scrap. They use all kinds of marketing gimmicks to attract customers towards the new service like offer is for a very limited few, invite only for selected few or offer is ending at 11:59PM post which price is going to be increased. Once they get enough number of subscribers, they launch another new service which is ideally a subset of the current service you already subscribed for.

So be careful before you subscribe longterm with Equitymaster. They are actually losing their credibility as a genuine financial institution coming from Quantum family.

You have fraudulently charged Rs.6000/- to my credit card ending 1386 (RBL Bank) on 27.06.2017 without OTP validation and my knowledge/consent. I have lodged a complaint with my credit card provider (RBL Bank) and requested them to not to make any payment to you. In case you have already received payment, I request you to refund the money you have already debited to my card. If the above amount is not refunded to me immediately, I am forced to lodge police complaint and also take legal action against your company.

I am amazed at so many negative reviews for equitymaster. In fact, I have only good things to say about them.Yest their trading calls have not been the best but they keep you adequately informed.

They educate the market participants very well. I believe, regularly reading their articles would expand your horizons and you could be a better investor with or without their calls.

I agree -- equitymaster, like many other top financial advisors, are advisory services with genuine research done by them with respect to financials and management of each company they recommend:

Though I am also a subscriber to their services -- I am disappointed at new service lauch almost every quarter -- though the same deliverables overlap those of existing services: Eg. take stockselect -- its functionality now -- of recommending good valueable A group equities -- overlap with new service -- valuepro !! This means part of functionality offered has gone into a new serice offering -- with new price!!

I believe, however good a company is, it must stick to delivering value on their main products -- not keep launching new products and variants frequently!

I trust the management of equitymaster continues to put their back onto existing services instead of launching new services: Microcap should have been part of hidden treasure, and india letter should have been part of midcap / hidden treasure as well.

Equitymaster agora now days simply cheating customers. They announce some service very month and collect money from customers but they will not provide any service telling market condition is not favourable. There newly announced services are all fraud especially one with Vijay bhawbhani it is real fraud, dear all please stay away from their services

Dear Mr.PANKAJ PATEL ARYA! You write on Mar 24, 2020 from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. You say that your investment is down from 20 lakhs to 8 lakhs. The index fell from 12, 500 t0 7, 500 in a month. So, there is a correlation. What is the worth of those investments today, as the NIFTY is at an all time high of 15, 600? Are your stocks worth more than 20 lakhs? If so, then the recommendations are fine, right? If not, then, I feel sorry for your situation. I also lost lot of money in Mar'20, as I quit the market with NIFTY @ 8000. Just learn from your mistakes and keep improving, Sir. Good luck.
