[Resolved] Family Credit Limited — Harassment | |
Sir, I took a loan for purchasing a car last year from “:Family Credit Ltd”, Chennai. My EMI was deducted by bank through Electronic clearance system (ECS) on 5th of every month. When I wanted to foreclose the loan on 22 of Jul 09, I was told that I cannot do this after 20th of any month and I can only do so after the next ECS. So I went to them on 6th of Aug and gave a cheque for foreclosure. Besides being forced to pay an extra interest between 22 of Jul to 5th of Aug, they also deducted more than Rs 700/ as interest over and above the normal interest on the pretext that the next couple of days are bank holidays. The most unpleasant experience comes after this. They refused to issue “No Objection certificate” to enable me to close the “Hypothecation” in the RC book. They said that the certificate will be issued only after 30 days from their Calcutta branch. Now I had sold the car to someone for a very good deal after advertisement in the local paper. The person returned the car for want of this certificate. Now the money I paid for the advertisement is gone and I have to wait for one more month for this certificate No other company in India does this. The banks issue the certificate immediately on full payment for foreclosure. The agent who arranged for the car loan initially had not explained this to me because I would have never opted for the Family Credit Ltd had I known this. I am now stuck. I can see the way Family credit is propagating India. They are recruiting some unprofessional guys at the field work for marketing who cannot explain what exactly the things are on the application. Not to mention these people are trained to think only on the target, but on the workings of the loans. They basically show up there innocent face and close the deal, but the real thugs sit inside the board room to approve or reject the loan amount. Important to mention that we need to enforce the law makers to give the clauses and pertaining valuation for foreclosure during our application form itself.

Iam from chennai, have taken a car loan in 2006 from Apeejay Finance...when i wanted to foreclose the loan in 2007 this finance company not bothered to give much information...and keep saying waiting for the approval from thier calcutta office...and one sudden day this company was closed ...and taken over by Family credit limited and same no information received from them till july 2010, but not they come back asking to pay the dues and interest till now...all these yrs waited in pain, and they asked to pay 3 times of the value, of my selling cost of Ford Ikon 2001 3rd owner...my mail id : [protected]@gmail.com

I, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, from Faridabad, have financed my motor-bike with Family Credit Limited via Loan No. 563197. The 12 cheques of Rs2500/- were submitted initially at once. In the month of October i.e., on 26/10/10, i have submitted cash of my installment of Rs.2500/- (receipt no. 03/59355), as the employee of the organisation were claiming that they didnt received the cheque. However, later they received the cheque and adjusted the amount in the successive installments. Now, after 8-9 months i am daily receiving a call from your Delhi Office to deposit Rs. 338/- as clearance amount for the collection of No Dues Certificate.
When none of my cheque has been bounced then what kind of clearance charges am i being asked to pay?
When I ask them the same question then they don't reply properly and ask me to come to Delhi.
The attitude of the employees is very disappointing.
Kindly look into my matter and provide me my No Dues Certificate as soon as possible.
Also returns me my cheque of Rs.2500/- against which the cash payment has been adjusted.
