[Resolved]  Gas*csgastex.Net — Fraudulent charge

I have a charge on my Card Statement for $US39.44 which I do not recognize and which I did not order. The charge was made on 22 March 2011. How do I stop this charge re-appearing and get my money back?

I WAS CHARGED 38.68 THIS MORNING FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT AUTHORIZE AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET THIS CANCELLED
I was charged $39.71 on the[protected]. I have no idea who and wow it was made, but I didn't buy anything using this service, I want my money back and stop this fraud!

I was also charged USD 39.44 on[protected] and again same amount on[protected] through my Citibank credit card. I have not purchased anything. When complaining to the Citibank they say that you have purchased something online and on denial they are not giving proper answer. How do I stop this and get my money back?

I was also charged $39.44 on 04-04-11. I called their automated line & went thru the prompts to cancel this subscription to whatever it is I DID NOT order. My bank made me aware of this charge. I am now waiting on hold for a representative to try to get reimbursed. U can reach them by phone @[protected]U.S., Canada & Mexico victims. There is another # for international callers). This is ridiculous!
After about 5-7 min on hold I spoke to a woman Shivonne who was able to pull up the fraud account, she asked a few ?'s for verification & agreed to reimburse me. Minimal hassle, I guess. They said the reimbursement will take 7-10 business days to credit back. I'll check to make sure I wasn't lied to & post again if I can to confirm. Hope this info helps someone else. P.S. Also, beware of another scam charge I found which was noted on my bill for $29.99 on 04-27-11 by CSBESTHELP.NET (or .COM). I'm onto them next. Absolutely ridiculous!
Holy Cow! So the CSBESTHELP.COM had a different toll free #[protected], but routed me to the SAME CALL CENTER. I spoke to the same woman...Shivonne. She informed me that she found 2 separate accounts on my card, but this 2nd account had already been canceled the day before. This means that somebody is committing identity theft using credit/debit card #'s found over the web somehow. Apparently, they are for some "movie or download sites" (probably adult sites - which even if I wanted this my computer is not nearly fast enough, so I know it wasn't me. My computer is 100 yrs old). Call either of the #'s I've posted. They will reimburse your money in 7-10 business days, or so they say. They do give you a confirmation # at the end of the call too. Another word of advice my friends, have your bank or financial institution issue you a new card if you can. I'm going to my bank tomorrow to have this done. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck!

Thanks, Kev, for all info you posted here. I'll call them to resolve this fraud. Also I have 2 other charges, made by 2 different sites. But probably it;s all the same with different accounts. Maybe this woman Shivonne will help me with them too. So, use either[protected] either[protected], right?

Yes, either # will get you to the same call center. I spoke to Shivonne & also Ryan. It sounds like the call center is based in India. They can reimburse you for all charges occurred within the last 90 days (at least for Visa cards, that is. Reimbursement windows may vary depending on the type of card). There was also another charge I found in my bank statements listed as "EPG BILL" I think. Looked them up &, of course, it was the same company. They've been scamming me as far back as February! They couldn't even tell me what services were purchased. Be sure to go back & look thru other statements to make sure they didn't charge you before. It's obviously a scam when they are listing multiple names on billing statements for unspecified services. I have reported them to my bank so this hopefully won't happen again. Definitely going to keep a closer eye on my statements from now on. Thanks for replying Dmitriy & good luck. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have the same charge on my credit card account. (CSBESTHELP.NET) I have just called them and they said they would refund it within 7-10 days. Did they allready give you your money back?

Gas*csgastex.Net — Deleted money from my Visa account

I have just checked my Visa statement for April and found $29-49 deleted from my account and I don't know what for I have never bought any thing over the internet from India

Hello, yes, in fact it didn't take that long to refund. It was refunded back to my account the next day even though they told me 7-10 business days. Check previous statements to make sure they haven't charged you before. They will refund all charges within the last 90 days. I've canceled my card over this & have a new one on the way. Good luck!

Wow! I too had the same thing happen. A charge of the infamous $39.44 appeared on my Capital One credit card. I, like some of you, called the[protected] number to find out what this was. They could not tell me what this was, but said they would simply cancel the account and refund the monies to me within 7-10 days. This sounds like a big scam, preying off of people who do not check their statements that well. For safety sake, since obviously someone has my credit card info, I am going (and would recommends others to do the same) to cancel this credit card and order a new one.
