Good Year Tyre Company/Hyundai — Regarding Tyre Warranty

Dear Sir
I Purchase a Santro Hyundia Car from Sachin Hyundai,Haldwani in 28 Aug.2009 having tyre of Good Year Company. Now my car is running 20000 km and dealer said the tyre of your car damaged, so kindly tell me the warranty system because my car is running only 20000 km. At lease a new car having new tyres should run 50000 km.

In my experience the GOODYEAR tyres are very bad result. so please avoid it and take safe journy. Their customer realtionship is very bad.

I AM DHARMENDRA CHAUHAN, I purchased a New car indica vista tdi (R-J-20 CB 8167) only 45 days back.

On 28-07-11 We went from kota to Udaipur road (sanwaria seth tample) with family.when we were coming back

to Kota from there we crossed a speed bracker then after on 2nd speed bracker my car back right side type blast

suddenly.Then I know how I controlled my car neither It could be convert in a big accident.



So I would like to be ask from you now GOOD YEAR TYRE witch is so good

& famous brand is it possible to happened this kind of problem in your company.



I m not only a single person with that this was happened there I saw a person witch is having same car INDICA VISTA TDI And that was 15 days old.

Regarding this concern I talked with your local engineer of GOOD YEAR TYRE. Then he didn’t give

Satisfaction answer and said to me company doesn’t give any guaranty to Tyre blast & damage. And your company person neither change my Tyre nor gave me proper solution regarding it.

Defective Tyre - Pathetic Service by Good Year!

I refer to my request reference number Q[protected] and Q[protected].

I had purchased my car in Feb 2010, I have driven 20,000 Kms so far. Recently I noticed that in my front tyre, that it has developed a bubble. During the service of my car I complained this to the car manufacturing company, to which they told me that the same will be forwarded to Good year.

Good year took 3 WEEKS to first address my concern to just come and inspect my car's tyre. They kept cancelling and re-scheduling my appointments for no reasons given to me. In flat 2 minutes of inspection, Good year engineer inspected the tyre and told me that the car been used in road and probbaly went over a bump because of which the thread of the tyre broke and the tyre developed a bubble and this is not a defect that they can cater to. I started asking the engineer questions to which he behaved so arrogantly as if I have done a crime asking him a question and how dare could I have asked a question to him. I wanted to speak to his senior, after a long discussion, I spoke with some regional service manager at good year, who was equally arrogant and behaved so rudely that he will not do anything else except to change the tyre with a new one, and that too at a cost of Rs. 4000. The customer service that I have been shown by this company employees was highly disgusting and pathetic.

Sir, I drive in Delhi / NCR city roads and thats where the car is meant to be used. I am sure that the said company used a low quality thread which could not take normal pressure and broke resulting in forming of Bullble in my tyre.

The service level provided to me has been o[censored]tmost pathetic nature and I couldn't have expected this from a brand like Good Year! But probably Good Year now gives a damn to its customers! I will now not buy a product from such a company and would not recommend it to anyone around!

Request redressal of my complaint!

Respected sir/madam,
I am Anil mishra and according to my above subject let you know that i had taken Maruti Swift Dezire VDI(MH-04 EX-2084) from Boisar spectra motors on 14/06/2011. Also car had good year company tyres. But within a two months since the car purchased, one tyre was punctured and cracked. The tyre no was 165/80 R 14/1WCR JB1R 2111 Dura plus good year and i have submitted it in boisar showroom on 26/8/2011. But still i not got the replacement for that till now and specially the tyre is cracked in guarantee period .
I always goes for long route journey .so i request you to think about my major problem and give me the replacement for the tyre.

I bought Ford Figo in Sept 2011 and last Sunday when my car was parked, the right side front Tyre burst leaving my car rim dent. I am using Good Year Tyre which Ford gave me. I compliant about this to ford (worst Customer care you can find in the whole world) they told me to bring the Tyre to the service Station so that the Good year rep could inspect the Tyre. Then I received a call from Good Year rep he told me that it’s not a Manufacturer defect and it’s my fault. Ford too agreed on this. I am not sure how they came to this conclusion. I went and met the sales person in ford to check whether I could escalate this to their manager’s he informed me that’s not possible. Car has done 1200Kms .. which is really a bad experience “ I hate Good Year “

when all o[censored]s know their attitute, what is the result. I hope this fourum is not only the venting our experience. WHOM should we approach to straighten their customer support.

During the service of my car i complaint this to santro service center, to which they told me that the same will be forwarded to Good year.the tyre is tubless gps2 ant the company gurantees 100000km but it has been worn it in just 17000 km we want replacement as it is very disgraceful for the companys goodwilll.

Sub : False committment of 1 lakh KM and escape with "*conditions apply"

I have Maruti Swift Vxi and shifted to Good Year Duraplus tyres at 46000 KM. Now the KM reading is 73800 KM and service station told me that tyres are worn out and I need to replace it. I had lodged complaint Ref. Q[protected] on 2/11/2012 and GY rep came and checked the tyres. I got alignment done, whenever I got vehicle serviced, but do not have alignment reports and it was not done exactly at 5000Km interval ( I do not keep service reports and once the service was after 8000 KM). How can this be reason bring down life from 1 Lakh to 27000KM? (I think even if I have done service at 5100 KM they could say it is delayed by 100 KM !! ).

I want all consumers to be aware of these false committments and escape with "*condition apply". Now BIG companies can keep a legal advisor and get away with all these things. But what about the customer? Hope Good Year listens...

before 1.5 years ago i have notice there was an air in the tyre and i go for repalcement, and that was done,

after 6 month i noticed air in one more tyre, and now i notice air in the 3rd one,

i m surprised that which type of quality they are using, all 3 tyre are band in 3 years or you can say 1 tyre /800kms

i complian for the same issue and the engineear of the company say this is not repalceble beacause of different different reason,

Im owning ETIOS LIVA and driven around 24000 KM but suddenly my four tyres got bulge at same time.I have raised many complaints for this issue but there is no response from GOOD YEAR.
Good year consultant are really unapproachable and given some response especially Deepak-[protected] regional manager for South India


So Please don not buy good year tyres and go for BRIDGESTONE.

Complaint for my new Grand i10 car - tyre problem and replacementHi Good year Engineers

I had bought a New Grand i 10 car last year.It has ran only 6500kms.

Out of the 4 tyres, 3 tyres are hopeless...which doesnt even qualify for deploying it to the running car.

I have contacted many times for replacment of the tyre, but they give dont give genunie reason regarding the tyre of the car.

It is fine, it would have gone with one tyre or so, but that is not the case.

I havent seen such a hopeless tyre so far...at an average tyre should be good enough to run for 40000 km.
