[Resolved]  Government cable — Regarding the deposit for the cable

I am Sudanthiranathan from, Chennai, Villivakkam. The cable operators are demanding each 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) for giving a settup box vide Notification No. SO 2534(E).
In this connection I would like to inform the Government to fix the amount for settup box, otherwise these cable operators will collect from the each consumers not less than 1000/-, even more also. " The Central Govt. has on 11th Nov. 2011 vide Notfn, .No. SO 2534(E) notified that it shall be obligatory for every cable operator to transmit or retransmit programmes o f any channel in an encrypted form through a digital addressable system in such city, town or area as specified in the said notfn. w.e.f. the following date (Annexure II).
Phase: 30th june 2012 National Capital Territory of Delhi, Municipal council of Greater Mumbai area, Kolkatta metropolitan area and Chennai Metropolitan area.
For fixing settup box and activating to transmit or retransmit programmes rs. 1000/- is more which has been fixed by the cable operators, why the Central Govt. issued this notfn. because it should be reached to the consumers.
Hence I request to fix the amount by the Government, then only it is very much helpful to the consumers.

Dear Sirs
I am from Villivakkam, Chennai. The private TV cable operator increased the tariff by 20%. Till last month he collected Rs100 and he announced from Sep 2014, he will be charging Rs120/= Please advice if this is approved by TN Government.
