[Resolved]  HCL Infosystem Ltd — Complaint against computer purchased from HCL

I booked a computer HCL Beanstalk Life (Model No AQ000536) on December 26, 2008 from HCL, Sector-11, Noida (vide Order No [protected]) with following configuration:
• Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium
• Intel Pentium D 820 - 2.80 Ghz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800 Mhz FSB
• 1 GB DDR II
• 250 GB SATA
• 88 Keys + 11 MCE keys + Trackball +2 Mouse buttons RF keyboard and Mouse
• 18x DVD Writer
• TV Tuner with MCE Remote
• 22” Wide TFT LCD Monitor & VS4121 Altec Lansing 2.1 Speakers
• Audio: High-Definition Audio Codec integrated with Realtek ALC882 Audio codec, Supports 7.1 Channel Audio Output
• Ports: Card Reader/Writer, 4+2 USB Ports(front USB support), 1 LAN Port, 1 VGA Port, 1 DVI Port, RCA Connector, Front Audio Support, S-Video Port
• 1 Year On-site National Warranty
• Software: HCL Intelligence Booster DVD Pack, EC2, MS Works 8.5

Also, I was offered the following:
• Travel Bag - handed at the time of booking on full payment thru Credit Card
• HCL Optical Mouse - to be delivered with product
• Logitech Webcam - to be delivered with product

The Computer (vide Serial No 6074AQ541989) was delivered on January 5, 2009 thru AFL Logistics alongwith the Invoice No 72811608 dated January 2, 2009.

I lodged a request for installation of the computer on January 5, 2009 (vide reference number[protected] dated January 5, 2009). I was assured that the installation would be done between 24 to 48 hours.

A person from HCL visited on January 6, 2009. But he could not install the computer. Then another person from HCL visited on January 8, 2009 and installed the computer. The computer was installed before my wife who had no computer knowledge. On reaching home I was surprised to see the following:

1. The 1.5 years OLD manufactured computer delivered (i.e. manufactured on June 2007)
2. Chinese Webcam delivered instead of Logitech Webcam,
3. Missing DVI Port and S-Video (Out) Port (without which LCD TV/HD LCD TV or or other TV can not be connected to the computer)
4. Missing HCL Intelligence Booster DVD Pack
5. Missing EC2 Software
6. Card Reader not reading/writing the cards,
7. Eject button of DVD Drive not working,
8. Mouse (embedded in keyboard not working properly.
9. Audio cable from CPU to TFT monitor (for using TFT speakers) could not be connected.

After constant follow ups with HCL point nos 6, 7, 9 resolved and for point no 8 a keyboard and mouse replacement done which is again not working properly and seems to be old and used.

Nobody in HCL is ready to listen for other major points (nos 1, 2, 3 above) and point no 8 above.

Please help me in this regard.

RF optical mouse — in warranty

I purchased a RF Optical mouse which is not working. so i want to replace it otherwise please give me the contact no. of HCl servies centre which is located in pune.
Why not u launch complain against HCL to Consumer Court ...

hcl- beanstalk pc — tft do not work

dear sir,
i m ashish here from shahdara. my computer's tft is not working, it is showing lining on the screen.
i have complaint about it on[protected], i was told that my tft has been damaged and it will be replaced within 15 days because of tft is not in stock.
it has been passed nearby 1 month but nothing has been done to solve this problem. ur manager ajay
dont have manner to talk. when i call them they just repeat one question who has given u me no and
dont hear me.
if this problem does not dolve soon,
therefore, i have to take any legal action
