[Resolved]  HCL Touch — Rude and Fraudulent

I am a resident of the United States. I was having general problems with my Hotmail email address being blocked. I went on Microsofts website and came across their number for support. The first representative was very polite and asked me multiple questions to verify my account (about 20 minutes worth) At the end of requesting all this information he proceeds to tell me it will be $150 for their fraudulent company to protect my email account. I politely tell him no thanks and request again to allow access to my account that i've clearly identified. He then proceeds to tell me to unlock my account there will be a one time charge of $99.99. At this point i've been on the phone for 25 minutes. He refuses to unlock my account, even though i've provided him with all my information. I ask for a supervisor. The man, Ratnesh, comes on the line and is completely rude and demeaning. Explaining to me that the charge is indeed legit and there is no possible was to reset the account. He also informs me there is no customer support for hotmail and if I don't pay the fee I will lose my account. While on the phone with this ignorant man, I was able to update an alternate contact email address and send a link to myself which worked. While resetting the information, I came across an additional gmail address as an alternate contact that I have never added. Surprisingly with an indian name in the address. This company used my information I provided in an attempt to possibly hack my email themselves. I hope all of this goes on record and someone else does not get duped like I almost did. Thank you.
