[Resolved]  Himalaya Drug Company — Neem capsules are made from gelatin and the bottle does not state this.

Himalaya Drug Company (http://www.himalayahealthcare.com is selling Neem capsules made from gelatin and is not marking the product as non-veg. There must be thousands of consumers being misled due to the lack of correct ingredients marking.
http://www.himalayahealthcare.com/products/neem.htm

It should clearly state that the capsule is made from gelatin. In a country where the majority of consumers would not buy gelatin products due to religious beliefs, Himalaya Drug Company is misleading its customers.

Many other herbal pills use gelatin capsules as well, this is not stated anywhere on packaging.

It is misleading to consumers. And it is a disappointment from a company such as Himalaya that claims to be cruelty free, yet continues to use gel caps, without informing consumers, when many viable alternatives are readily available.
Hi. I bought a few bottles of Himalaya Forest Honey from Himalaya, Bombay and got a shock when the honey tasted salty. Just to make sure, I opened another jar to compare the taste and both bottles are the same..the honey taste salty!! I am very disappointed because I have never heard nor tasted saltish honey and the worst is, I bought many bottles from Himalaya recently. Can I have an explanation soonest possible and what should I do with the purchase??? Please treat this matter urgently.
p.s. we have bought himalaya honey before and never had any problems till now/ Looking forward to hearing from your end. Thank you.
Most of the Himalaya saying herbal Medicines are all together now in gelatinise coated capsules.

Really Misleading the VEGITERIAN costumers to the wrong way.

Someone very well known should take a stand from PETA.

Not only non veg caps but the gelatin used by Himalaya Drug is sourced from bovine sources (read cow slaughter...)

Shame, shame, shame. We should start a class action agains such a misleading practice.
Himalaya Drug support just called me. The informed me that the new formulation of Triphala is in tablet form, so no gelatin. The capsule packaging has been discontinued and one should request the new table formulation.

Very positive step on their part.
I am really disappointed that the company Himalaya that I supported for manufacturing vegan products uses gelatin of bovine origin for its capsules in its "Bael " product. Why don't they use capsules sourced from vegetables when the company is primarily marketing itself as a "natural" or veggie-based industry. I am most disappointed in it.
