Holiday Package — False assurance of Gift

Address:Dharwad, Karnataka

Sir/Madam,
I am very much reluctant to inform the following genuine fact:
On [protected] at about 11-45 AM., I received a call from Bagit Today informing that I am selected for Gift of Samsung 40 inches LED TV and Blackbery Mobiles phone and the Gift is subject to purchase of two holiday pack from Bag it today. I told them to call me afterword’s. I received call again at about 2-30 PM afternoon and they reiterated again that I am selected for the Gift of Samsung LED 40 inches TV worth Rs. 59,000/- and Blackbare Mobile worth Rs. 14,500/- and the Gift will be send by courier within seven working days from the date of accepting the Holiday Packing worth Rs. 5,998/- each. On enquiry I specifically asked why they are providing two gift on purchase of Holiday Package and their reply was that Bagit Today is belongs to India Today – the reputed company and there is no fraud. The gift is given since I am the customer of Bag it today and as a esteemed customer my name is selected for Gift as mentioned hereinbefore. I specifically told the person who is calling me that I am going to buy the Holiday package subject to condition that I must get the Gift as mentioned hereinbefore. I told repeatedly that only on assurance and on confirmation of Gift I will go for Holiday Package as suggested. The person who is calling from Bag it today specifically assured and confirmed to send the Gift to me by courier within seven working days. Only on specific assurance I placed the order of Holiday package worth Rs. 5,998/- and made the payment through internet banking. Afterword’s I received the SMS from Bag it today mentioning my booking order No. [protected] and [protected] dtd.[protected]. Afterword’s I again received call from 91-[protected] and caller himself introduced that he is Amit and he is from Bag it today. He further told me that the call will be received from your response department to confirm the order and on my further query he again assured and confirmed that the Gift of Samsung 40 inches LED TV and Blackbery Mobiles phone will be send without fail and he told me to contact on his Mobile No.[protected] immediately on receipt of Hard Copy of Holiday Package. On receipt of Holiday Package I called me Amit on[protected] and informed that I have received the Hard Copy and requested him to send my Gift. He immediately replied me that he has already instructed to the dispatch section to send the Gift and I will receive the Gift on 14 or 15 August, 2012 without fail. From 17th August, 2012 to till date I calling Mr. Amit to his mobile no [protected] without fail but he is not answering the call. The ring goes and goes on but he never lift the mobile and answer my call. Even I called to the customer care, they also fails to answer and told that the records does not show anything of Gift. I ordered the Holiday package of Rs. 5,998/- each because the executive assured me of Samsung LED TV and Blackberry phone. I am the customer of Bag it today since long. I was under the impression that the Bagit today belong to India Today Group. I was not anticipated such type of fraud from Bagit today.
The euphoria generated in a dismal scenario of internet shopping, its fraud and inefficiency, the one arm of the e-shopping that maintained its dignity and credibility is Bagit today has also begun to fast evaporate into thin air. What is worrisome is that the reliance and trust on Bagit today also diminishing due to the art of assuring the dummy Gifts.
The Executive of Bagit today should avoid assuring the gift without any reasons for sale of their Holiday package. The confidence your esteemed customer will entirely go down. Litigation flourishes in the infiniteness of such assurance of Gift which will come in almost all sites. The name earned will wipe out within no time. Therefore, it is my request not to play such game with the customer. As Gandhiji said customer is the most important visitor. Please remember the customer can earn your name and if such things continue the name of Bagit today will wipe out from the site as early as possible. Simply assuring of the Gift instead thoroughly convincing of your product put the customer in great hardship which drastically affect the overall surrounding atmosphere of the entire India Today Group. The confidence of the costumer will be erased when he/she get the product without assured Gift. Unless the your executive decline the such issue of false Gift, the overall confidence of customer will never get a boost, crucial to prevent e-shopping slowdown.
In light of above I once again request you to either send the Gift as assured or Refund the Holiday package amount. Simply apologising for inconvenience caused to customer will not work. Please do the needful
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours Faithfully
TULAJAPPA KALBURGI
