[Resolved] honda city ivtec — while driving on highway car passed over a water puddle on the road and water splashed and car stopped. | |||
My Honda city IVTECH car while driving to office on 13th morning of August on the highway, it passed over a water puddle as it was drizzling and water spalshed an immediatly car stopped.I pushed the car to the side and left it.My company driver suggested that if we keep the car for few hrs it will start on its own.But in the evening I tried to start it did not.Hence towed the car to me residence and on 14th called the technician from landmark Honda.he said water has entered the engine.How new car that too driving on highway the water can enter and stop.My car is registered in my company name Harsha Engineers and I am using the car since two years and single scratch is not there on the car. This seems to be technical failure and can be dangerous if such incidence happens if anybody is travelling in the night or travelling with family.I have lost the confidence to drive Honda City car. My company provided Honda city IVTECH car which is 2 years old while driving to office on the highway, car passed over a water puddle on the highway and water splashed. Immediately the car stopped.I pushed the car to the curb and parked.Our company driver suggested that it will start after few hours.
Evening I tried and car did not start.We towed the car to my residence and called landmark Honda technician on next day morning[protected].
Technician made the observation that there is water in the engine and it has to taken to service center.
A new car while passing over water puddle if it stops can be very dangerous to drive in the night and also with family.
There must be some assembly or parts related issue which has caused this break down.
Please look into this and take counter measures so that others will suffer like me.
