Sir,
I booked a Honda Activa white scooter on 16.7.2011 from one of your authorised dealers M/S MARIKAR MOTORS, TRIVANDRUM. At the time of booking the sales representative told me that for black colour I have to wait more than two months and he can give white colour within 25 days. On 2.8.2012 I went to the showroom and met Mr Biju , sales executive to confirm if they can deliver the scooter within the promised time. I was disappointed when I was told that it will take another two months and they cant deliver the vehicle any time near the promised 25 days. The behaviour of sales executive was most arrogant, unprofessional and rude manner.

I enquire with another dealer M/s EVM Motors in Peroorkada Trivandrum. They told me to cancel the booking from MARIKAR MOTORS and give full cash to them and they will give delivery within ten days. I cancelled the Booking and went to EVM Motors with full cash. Once they confirmed that I cancelled the booking they changed their word and said I have to buy all the 17 accessories they provide costing Rs 5500/- in order to get delivery within ten days. The accessories they provide are a rubber matt, extended warranty, side stand , body bumpers , number plate, seat cover, hand grip, wing stickers etc. These items are overpriced and are not part of the vehicle. I was even ready to take a few items like floor matt, side stand and extended warranty but they insisted I had to pay for all. As I felt cheated and forced to buy these inferior quality items at high price I didn’t remit the money and returned dejected. The behaviour of sales executive was most arrogant and rude manner. Which is unique to Honda scooter sales? I suppose it is because your scooters are in demand. However customer care should not be completely thrown out of the window. Such dealers and sales executives would bring bad reputation to an internationally acclaimed company like yours.


Both the dealers are practicing unfair trade practices. While booking, the dealer gives a booking slip with a seal which says ‘delivery on availability’. Hence when a customer does not get an allotment call even after the orally promised date the dealer can easily go back from his promise. Why don’t you give a proper date or at least a reasonable period within which you can deliver the vehicles. I came to know from my friends that people who have contacts in the showroom are getting delivery at their will. The dealers are making undue gains from such practices. If no action is taken I may be constrained to redress my complaint legally.

Hence I request you to enquire into the matter and direct your dealers from selling accessories forcefully to the customers and give a proper date for allotment of vehicles.

I have been going M/s. Advent Automobiles, Jaipur who are authorised Dealer for M/s. Honda Scooter from last 12 days so that the scooter can be gor repaired but the situation is this that they have informed that the Spare Parts to be supplied from HMSI are not coming and they ill not be able to repair the same> I had desired to know you have kept the scooter for 12 days howlong will it take they are unable to inform the date also for repairing. The conditions are really very bad unprofessional on the part of M/s. Advent & HMSI. Please help.

Sir,
I am located at Ahmedabad. From your ad and also from my friend's advice I purchased an ACTIVA scooter from one of your authorised dealers,in Gandhidham Kutch. but due to relocation to Ahmedabad ,i have to locate near service center called Punjab Honda, Gurukul Branch, Ahmedabad.
but during Third Free Services of My Active i found the Screws inside comes inside of storage(trunk) there are three screws and all are not present there . and washing is also not good form this dealer.
i am note getting proper services for your dealer. just they are intrested to take free service coupen only.
and service is also not satsfied i request you to do some necessary action.

If no action is taken i may be constrained to reddress my complaint legally. I hope wiser counsels will prevail and the needful will be done from your side without forcing me to take a drastic step.
