[Resolved] ICFAI University — DE-FRAUDING STUDENTS | |
Dear Sir, This university is offerring one of their course in Accountancy, misnominiclatured as CPA. It is a well know fact that CPA designation is bestowed upon candidates by American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and they are the registered hoders of this designation in USA. ICFAI University in Tripura etc. of India are misguiding and misrepresenting the prospective students by offering the aforementioned course of CPA and they also claim to have got registered CPA and Certified Public Accountant as Trade Mark in their favour. I believe it is serious case of infringment on the part of ICFAI University of Reputation earned by and of the rights of American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and it shall be viewed very seriously. The Prospective candidates may mistook the course offerred by ICFAI as CPA offered by AICPA. Regards Was this information helpful? | |

i agree they do something wrong, then why u people has chosing this institute. as it is afraud. u people ojective is job. they support 100% for this . so u go ahead for this .no issue at all. if corporate accept then what will be the problem tell me.

The term infringement is a misnomer. ICFAI has made it clear that CPA is a registered trade mark, and that in due course the University will try to get affiliation at international level. The prevailing practice of confining statutory recognition to only one profesional body of C A 's is a practice developed during British monarchy days, and the world presently requires more participation. After all, whether you are CA or CPA, what ultimately matters is dedication to devote and master the subjects. Regarding innumerable complaints heard about ICFAI university, I feel that an Association of students who are really aggrieved, should jointly raise funds, and fight their grievances in the legal way, so that, such case laws would be healthy precedents for suceeding generations.

Please note that programs are structured and curriculum is approved by academic council of the university. Any comparison with other program offered by any other institute has no relation or impact on the program offered as the university and the academic council of the university is empowered to launch the programs with the appropriate curriculum. Students are advised to refer the prospectus issued freely before taking any decision or getting misled by anybody else.
