[Resolved] ICFAI University — HOLDING CHEQUES | |||
I have joint the ICFAI university through their kannur branch offered the condintion that i can able to attend the exam in Abu Dhabi on 2007, and I paid Rs5000 cash cheque and 12 PDC formy the instalement according to their instruction.I return back to Abudhabi and came to know that there is no centre for exam in Abu Dhabi for ICFAI and I was unable to go far during that time due to my working condition. and | decided to discontinue to course due this type cheeating and lost my confidence about the university I have sent detialed email to them with the reason of dincontinue and I ask them to give back the PDC cheques and I advise my bank not honor the cheques due to the reason, Now university/finace company not retrun the cheque sofar and they are trying to taking a legal action against me. I know that they are so many students came to the same trap and they are aslo facing the similar problem.Please help us to get the problem solved soon. Was this information helpful? | |||

I have tried to contact university through the above mentioned email but there was no reply. In fact I would like to bring your attention that I was joining your course through your kannur Br. and she(her name is Angel) was offered me before joining the course you have facility to attend the exam in Abu Dhabi and so on..I beleive her offer and joint the course. later only I was recieveing your prospectus and came to know there was not centre in Abu Dhabi. What I want to say that if you are placing a person in such a position like branch coordinator/business develpoer she/he should get the proper training and fully aware o[censored]niversity policies and procedure in order to convey and communicate to your students/clients to avoid misleading and misguiding of student and save their futures.If should tell me on the same time the real facts I would not joint the course. Kindly initiate to resolve the issue and arrange to return back my PDC cheques.I can ignore my initial payment of Rs5000/-.As soon as I joint the course I came back to Abu Dhbai and I came to know that there was no centre in Abu Dhabi and same time I inform my bank not to honor the cheque because i cannot start the couse due to this reason and why should I pay which is not pursuing due to your msiguiding and false information.

The program prospectus issued at the time of enrolment indicates that the
University facilitates conduct of examinations at Indian centers only.
There are no permanent centers at overseas locations and students intending
to register for exams at overseas locations are required to liaise with
Embassy / Consulate for their consent. Subsequent to obtaining such
consent and submission of ERF with specific payment, the Univesity would
facilitate such conduct of exams.
It is noted that you were enrolled into CBM program on 06-Apr-2007 and
defaulted from paying the program fee within two months of joining the
program. In the backdrop of fee dues in your account, you did not even
qualify to register for exams, leave alone liaisoning for exams at overseas
location.
Hence, blaming the University for lack of efforts on your part is not
correct. You may please write to [protected]@icfaiuniversity.in for necessary review of
the case.
