[Resolved]  IDBI Bank — FRAUD IN ONLINE APPLICATION FEE

DEAR SIR/MADAM,

1. MY WIFE HAD APPLIED FOR A JOB SEEING ADVERTISEMENT OF IDBI BANK LTD ON THEIR WEBSITE REGARDING POST OF ASSISTANT MANAGER GR "A".

2. IN THE INSTRUCTIONS, IT WAS CLEARLY MENTIONED THAT THE APPLICATION FEE OF RS 300/- HAD TO BE DEPOSITED IN IDBI BANK BRANCH OR STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) BRANCH VIDE A CHALLAN FORM FOLLOWING WHICH A UNIQUE ID WAS TO BE GENERATED.THIS UNIQUE ID WAS TO BE ENTERED WHILE FILLING THE ONLINE APPLICATION.
3. I HAD PAID THE APPLICATION FEE FOR AN AMOUNT OF Rs 300/-(PLUS Rs 50/- AS CHARGES) IN SBI BATHINDA CANTT BRANCH, CODE-2315 ON 03 JAN 2009 AND RECEIVED THE CANDIDATE'S COPY DULY STAMPED AND SIGNED BY STATE BANK OF INDIA, BATHINDA CANTT BRANCH...BUT THE UNIQUE ID WAS NOT GENERATED.
4. I TALKED TO SBI STAFF WHO TOLD ME THAT THE UNIQUE ID WAS TO BE GENERATED BY IDBI. THEN I MAILED TO IDBI BANK CUSTOMER CARE ON THE SAME DAY BUT DID NOT GET ANY RESPONSE. I CALLED UP AT THE CUSTOMER CARE OF IDBI BANK BUT EVERYONE KEPT ON TRANSFERRING THE CALLS AND GIVING ME DIFFERENT NUMBERS. FINALLY THEY TOLD ME TO VISIT THE NEAREST IDBI BRANCH EVEN WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT THERE IS NO BRANCH NEARBY AND THE NEAREST ONE IS 80KMS FAR.
5. I THEN GOT A MAIL FROM IDBI AFTER A FEW DAYS STATING THE SAME OLD STATEMENT THAT I SHOULD VISIT THE NEAREST BRANCH OF IDBI . WITHIN A FEW DAYS THE LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION WAS OVER AND MY WIFE WAS UNABLE TO FILL THE ONLINE APPLICATION FOR WANT OF THE UNIQUE ID.
6. AS A RESULT MY WIFE LOST A JOB OPPORTUNITY FOR NO FAULT OF HER AND THE APPLICATION FEE WHICH I HAD PAID WAS ALSO LOST.
7. I AM HAVING THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT OF IDBI BANK WHICH CLEARLY SAYS THAT THE APPLICATION FEE OF RS 300/- IS TO BE DEPOSITED IN NEAREST IDBI BANK BRANCH OR SBI BRANCH(WITH RS 50/- AS CHARGES). I AM ALSO HAVING THE CANDIDATE'S COPY OF CHALLAN DULY STAMPED AND SIGNED BY STATE BANK OF INDIA, BATHINDA CANTT BRANCH..CODE-2315 WHICH CLEARLY STATES IN THAT THE AMOUNT WAS DEPOSITED IN IDBI BANK BRANCH CODE 05345, CUFFE PARADE, MUMBAI A/C NO [protected].
8. YOU ARE THEREFORE REQUESTED TO KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND INITIATE NECESSARY REDRESSAL PLEASE.

I APPLIED FOR EDUCATION LOAN (LOAN AMPUNT 4LKS WHICH DOES NOT REQIURE ANY GURENTEE)FOR MY MBA(PGDM) COURSE FROM BHARTI VIYAPEETH UNIVERSITY PUNE(WHICH HAS TIE UPS WITH THE BANK)..
I FULFILL ALL THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A LOAN APPLICANT AS GUIDED BY BANK EMPLOYEES ITSELF, ATER ONE MONTH OF PROCESSING TIME (WHEN LAST DATE FOR FEE SUBMISSION IS ON HEAD) BANK HAS REJECTED MY APPLICATION ON BASELESS GROUND THAT I AM NT GENIUNE AND I APPLIED FOR HOME LOAN WHICH IS TOTALLY UNTRUE BECAUSE ITS MY BROTHER WHO APPLIED FOR HOME LOAN WHO IS HAVING SAME CURRENT AND PERMANENT ADDRESS(HE'S UNMARRIED).THERE'S CONFUSION FROM YOUR END AND BANK WAS VERY MUCH AWARE OF BOTH THE APPLICTIONS SEPERATELY.
I AM A GENUINE NEEDY AND ITS MY RIGHT THAT I GET LOAN FOR MY HIGHER EDUCATION.
JUST BECAUSE OF SOME UAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR FROM BANK EMPLOYEES AND THERE INEFFICIENCY IN HANDLING MULTIPLE CASES AT A TIME CAN RUIN MY FUTURE.

KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE EVEN A LITTLE DELAY CAN AFFECT MY FUTURE..

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is S.P.Saravanan. I had applied for IDBI Bank Assistant Manager Grade 'A' on 19.10.2009 by payment voucher at SBI Branch name MADURANTAKAM Code:00870 and my UR ID:2774860. In the advertisement it is stated that application fee can be paid at SBI or idbi bank branches. The officer didn't provide the unique id no. I explained that i have to fill the application online using the unique number which you have to write in HRD and Candidate's copy. I was informed to ask at IDBI BANK customer care. I'm not getting proper response.

Last date for the online application form is 26.10.2009.

Kindly consider this mail as request and take necessary steps to advice the advertisement authority of IDBI bank to find a solution for this problem.
