[Resolved] Income Tax Department — Income Tax Refund for Assessment Year 2006-07 | |
Good Afternoon, I had filed my Income Tax return in July 2006. I had paid an excess amount of Rs.7000 odd. Till date I have not recd my refund. I have recd a letter from Income Tax office dated 3/7/2007 two days back. But this letter is for the assesment Year 205-06. When checked with the Aaykar Helpline, they says this PAN is not registered for any Refund amount and will have to check with Bangalore SBI refund helpline. When I contacted there, they say have to contact the Ward Office. Have been constantly following up with my CA, but no revert from IT Dept. Need help. I have still waiting for income tax refund for the financial year of[protected] but haven't received yet and I have already filed the tax from[protected]. The government has made strict policies to pay fine if an individual doesn't pay the tax in time, can't it follow the same procedure for IT department and make sure that the individual's get their tax refund. Afterall its the government for the people and not for the IT department. Please somebody concerned person has to take a look at it and correct it as if I am not wrong 1000's of people are getting cheated with regards to the tax refund.

I filed an It return for the AY 07-08, AY 08-09 and I am supposed to receive a refund of 11000/- & 5000/- respectively. I haven't received the same. IS there any way by which I can trace these refunds?
