We are an indane gas consumer with consumer no. S 1971 with indane gas agency named Fancy Cook located in James Lon Sarani - Behala. We have booked a cylinder on 01.02.2008 ans was told that we will get the cylinder on or fater 15.02.2008. THe last cylinder was booked on 10.01.2008 and they delivered it on 18.01.2008. Due the stringent schedule of Indane, they did not take any booking before 01.02.2008. Now as my both the cylinders are empty, so my whole family is in real trouble as we had no other alternative other than this LPG Indane gas. Though we have taken the option of monthly Double cylinders , but every time we face this type of problem. Can anyone give a suitable solution to this problem and let the hierarchy of Indian Oil Corporation be informed about this problems?

Though we are not getting the cylinders with proper booking but in our locality due to personal relationships and payment of extra money many people are getting the cylinders without any intimation to the agency. Can this malpractise be taken care of accordingly?

Indane gas [IOC] — Non availability of Gas cylinder

I have been visiting "Nrusingh Krupa Gas Agency, Akota, Vadodara" since 6 months...

Each time I get same answer, make enuiry in first week of next month...

Just last week also I queried, I got answer, enuire in DEC-2008...

whereas IOC has published in news paper that withing 15 days New connections will be available.

Indane Gas — non availability of gas cylinder

my fathers gas connection no is 8378 at kundara mini gas agency
i booked a gas cylinder on 11/12/08
but still gas cylinder was not got what was ido to get the cylinder because iam a govt employee

Indane Gas — Non availability of double gas connection

My customer no. is 11057 with M/s. Urvashi Gas Agency UG-201 D, Shopping Arcade, Shushant Lok, Phase I, Gurgaon. for the last 8 months (from July 2008 onwards) i had been told repeatedly told by the people that the company has stopped distributing double gas which i do not know if it was correct. 2 months (14th Feb 09) ago they said that now we have started distributing double connection and within 4-6 weeks the connection will be given. They also gave me a no. 279. When i had enquired they said that we are giving the connections but rest assured it will be given to you within 4-6 weeks. Now when i asked then that 6 weeks have passed, they said that for the last one month no new connection has been given. This is really frustating.

Just to add that a similar situation was there while taking the connection where i was constantlt told for 3 months that there is no new connection but when i went through some sources of the distributor it was given within 3 hours.
Please help me.

This has reference to not availability of DBC in our area ie; badshahpur, Agency manager is demanding extra money for DBC.

Please confim that what amount we have to pay extra for DBC & advice to the agency manger issue the one more extra cylinder provide on urgent basis.

    Complaint:

    Rajneesh Madhok, Registered Member, CORE, a Consumer Protection Organisation has filed this complaint against the Indian oil Corporation through its Chairman, General Manager (LPG-MO) and others.

    The case is that the opposite party No. 1 to 11 are concerned with the distribution of the LPG Gas cylinders. Rajneesh Madhok had approached to the concerned officers and sent the Registerd Letter as well and requested the concerned authorities to deliver the LPG Gas cylinders to the above mentioned Connection Holders. But the said Gas agency has nothing to do with the requests of the consumers and do not reply to the requests of the Representative.

    As the consumer is entitled to get the supply of a LPG cylinder of two cylinders in a month. But the said agency don’t make supply to them on various requests even. In this connection the SPEED POST LETTER No. EE[protected] IN DATED 02/02/2008 POSTED AT CHANDIGARH OFFICE FAILS TO SUPPLY THE LPG GAS CYLINDERS TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED CONNECTION HOLDERS.

    The Ministry of Petroleum as well as the Ministry of Consumer Affairs shall ensure that all Marketing Companies do issue necessary instructions that the Distributors will provide to the consumers LPG Gas Cylinder within a stipulated time limit.

    I pray to The Honourable Forum to direct the Indian Oil Corporation to pay a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the Complainant to meet the expenses incurred by it in protecting the interest of consumers and to continue to protect the interest of the consumers, within a period of four weeks.

    Indane — Pathetic Dealer ( Golder Gas )

    We are consuming Indane Gas from Last 50 years . I have never seen such a pathetic dealer of GAS . Totally money minded . Wrokers look like Gundas . Phone is always busy . Cylinder are always tempered . You wont get Gas until you visit 3 times to the agency . Pathetic agency

    to finish your Khambhat Deler.

    But your Samarkha Deler Name for Ajitbhai Shah do not respect me and Not Given in my new Sylinder & Gas Regulator . Do not respect another customer.

    Indane Gas - IOC — Delivery delay of domestic gas cylinder

    our previous distributor m/s sant gas is not traceable.how can i get my distributor changed to one near my new residence?

    I am a customer of Indane Gas for last 13 years. I have booked for a refill of gas cylinder. Firstly the agent refused to take booking and told me that u will have to show your documents as someone is also been showing on ur account so i have shown them the documents as copy and Recommendation which had given by Late and EX MP Smt.Sukhbans Kaur Bhinder(Gurdaspur-Punjab) order letter. Letter Number 83161, Index Number 2129.
    But they refused and asking for other voucher which we dnt have and they didnt shown us any copy like that i am hetting service since 1994 to till date but now thay said u r not the owner as everything is on my name and adress is also same (Madan Lal S/o Sh Prabh Dayal Mohalla piplan wala Bhadroya road, Pathankot(PB)

    I totally agree with this. The same the same happend wih me also.

    They are selling the gas in black market and informing to public that there is some shortage from Mumbai. Sometime we will be on Q for 15 to 20 days after telebooking.

    Also one of my friend went for a new connection. But the authorised person is denying to give connection.

    Connection of Indane LPG gas — need LPG Gas connection but they demand unnecessary money.

    I need one Indane LPG gas connection, so i contact to Indane dealer which is placed in sahibabad, Gaziabad.
    One Lady was setting there when i asked her about the connection process she tell me the cost around 3300 Rs
    and she told me ur company also give burners set with Gas connection , we are not sure whether these are under the process o[censored]r company or they are trying to urne some money from nurner company.
    as we allready have burner set so we only need a gas connection.

    Plz reply me what exactly is the process, do we really need to pay 3300 Rs to take a connection.

    lindane — Not receiving Cylinder & non responce on phone

    DEar sir,
    I was booked my cylinder on Relince world service but before 12 days but yet I am not getting it. & phone no is always engaged
    i mam not satisfied of avtar gas service of shalimar bagh. they book cylinder after 21 days of our last booking .after it they take three days extra for the dilivery. they behave very harshly with us.they said they have only 215 to 230 cylinder in a day they can not do any thing .and said u face your problem yourself. i request u please help us.

    I booked the cylinder jan 22 today is 16th feb still i didnt get the cylinder. those who booked after jan 22 also get cylinders, i dont know from what basis they deliver the cylinders. Delivery people not responding for this. i make more than 25 calls to gas agencies.

    i am suffering with the problem of non deliviry og gas after booking of 15 days. So, plz. tell me what i will do ?

    lindane — Transferred and not able to get supplies

    have been transferred from coimbatore and then registered myself in tiruvannamalai but they have not supplied the refills for the past 15 days. we are unable to do the cooking and is eating outside.
    when i approach the dealer he asks me to come the next day whenever i meet him. i am not able to go there daily before 10.30 am as i am in the hospital working during that time. i have to stand for hours to meet him in the corridor but nobody takes any notice. then when i insist that i should be given a refill as per the policy of th company they just scoff at me and send me away.
    what to do and how to solve this? i am not able to register a complaint with the company.

    New Cylinder Booking

    Hi, I am Srinivasan residing in Vengalrao Nagar, Hyderabad. In the year 2004, I registered for my Indane Gas from Adimalik Enterprises in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. After a wait of 5 months I received my single cylinder gas connection.
    Now I am in need of 2nd Cylinder. So when I enquired weeks back , they informed me that they have a huge backlog for 2nd cylinder connections for 2 years and hence they have even stopped taking registrations for the 2nd cylinder. I am not sure if they are doing for money or if this is the real situation.

    We have LPG cylinder from Indane with consumer no. - 11765.
    The cylinder is not being provided in time. In feb.,2008 one LPG was leaking & therefore was not taken by the consumer. The hawker said that he will return with a good cylinder but didnot come even after 9-10 days. Pl. check this otherwise we may switch over to other gas agency.

    We are not getting the complete gas in LPG cylinder inspite of informed to distributor n # of times , the cylinder is also leaking till the time of delivery , we simply don't know how to deal with these type of problems, when we are giving the whole amount then why we are not getting the compelte supply,
    we called up distributor many times but failed to attend the call. The number of this distributor is always engaged or not responded. We have to go to them personally every time for any proglem and afterh that they are not responding to us .

    we request you to vist us so that we can show you cylinder ,pls lookinto this matter Its very SERIOUS & DANGANOUS ALSO. other wise we are bound to go to the cousumer court .

    My consumer number is 49379 and I have made name transfer at Pattammal Gas Agencies, Tambaram vide 1411208A04101 dated 08.03.2008. I have paid a sum of Rs.1800/- towards two cylinders and till date I have not received my cylinders despite promise of supply within two days. Further I have been asked to pay cost for cylinders at the time of delivery. I may be informed whether I have to pay again for cylinders?. The agency people are not answering properly. Kindly look into my complaint and why should I pay for cylinders again.

    I am a Indane Customer having Cunsumer No. 15662 with Shastri Nagar Gas Agency, Ramnagar, Shastri Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan. I have booked my culender in February but till March 25, 2008, I have not received the same. On call to the Agency they mis behaved and talked in a foul language. I also called to the complaint Nos desplayed in the Gas Agency but there was no reply. This gas Agency never supplies cylender in time until physically go and urge them for one. I think it is crime to have a gas connection with Indane. the distributors talk in a way that they oblising us by giving cylender. There is nobody in Indane gas to listen to the consumers complaints.

    Indane — non delivery of gas cylender

    I am a Indane Customer having Cunsumer No. 15064 with Hari Singh Gas service Rz 914, Prem Nagar, Kirari Road Nangloi, Delhi-41. I have booked my culender in March 7th 2008, but till today I have not received the same.and my telephonic intercation with gas agency employees to make reguest for early delivey they used odd and pinchable rough language. I also called to the complaint Nos desplayed in the Gas Agency but there was no reply. This gas Agency never supplies cylender in time until repeatedly physically go and urge them for one. I think it is crime to have a gas connection with Indane. the distributors talk in a way that they oblising us by giving cylender. There is nobody in above mentioned Indane gas agency to listen to the consumers complaints.

    Indane — Irregular supply of Gas

    Dear Sir,
    Our LPG Indane ditributor M/S, Jyoti Jwala, at Baniahir, Post Bhaga, Dist. Dhanbad, Jharkhand, 828301, hardly obey the home delivery system even chrge for it. Secondly, they are very irregular in supply and they provide gas cylinders two to three months after the booking.

    lindane — not refilling till 20 days

    Sir,
    Last month I had booked a cylinder with Freedom Gas Service LONI, GHAZIABAD. My consumer no. is 24017. Till date the same is not delivered to me. Ten days ago, When I went to agency to enquire about it the staff had said It will be supplied tomorrow but till date the agency had not delivered the cylinder. Please look into the matter as early as possible.

    lindane — POOR COOKING GAS SERVICE

    This is to inform you that Indane has services in Faridabad (Rainbow Gas Service) is in doldrums and is not giving proper services to the customers.It is an ongoing issue for years. They do not book the cylinder in time. They do not pick up the phone and in case if they pick up the phone the lady over there is very rude and harsh. she does not seem the understand the importance of one's problem.
    The Area Manager Mr. Maurya is not cooperative and he does not take care of the issues at all. he does not pick up his phone even.

    Sometimes the GAS Agency gives less GAS and does not weigh the cylinder and the cooking gas is finished before 15 days.


    My consumer number is R-14049 Springfield Faridabad.I do not have a cylinder and if necessary action could be taken to send a gas cylinder to me would be appreciated.

    I would appreciate if this issue is taken care of as soon as possible.

    lindane — NON RECEIPT OF DOUBLE CYLINDER

    SIR, I WAS TAKEN ONE CYLINDER FROM SRIDHAR GAS AGENCY DURING THE YEAR 2006 AND BOOKED FOR SECOND CYLINDER AT THAT TIME. TILL DATE I YET TO GET SECOND CYLINDER AS I AM FACING LOT OF INCONVENIENCE.

    SECONDLY, I AM A PARAMILITARY FORCE PERSON AND HAVING ALL INDIA SERVICE LIABILITY. WHILE BOOKING MY CYLINDER THE DEALERSHIP PRESSING HARD TO PRODUCE MY RATION CARD. ACTUALLY FREQUENT TRANSFER AND MOVEMENT I UNABLE TO PRODUCE THE SAME. THIS AFFECTS ADVERSLY MY DAY TO DAY WORK AND PHYSICALLY.

    I am a consumer of Indane gas consumer no.18565 and presently registered at Punchkula Gas Service, Sector-17, Panchkula. I am ex-defence officer from Air Force. I got gas refill booked 20 days back, personally visiting the gas supply office as repeated phones to the company were not attended by the company. I was assured gas supply within 7-10 days. Whereas on my enquiry after 12 days I was informed that the boy who booked the gas has left the company and now I have to book again. Another 1 week time was give which ended on 9/4/2008 again till date no supply has been made. I have to borrow a gas from somebody and have take his obligation with no fault of mine. The irresponsible action by the dealer is causing time and again embarrassment to me with no fault of mine.
    The attitude of the officials towards customer is most callous and uncaring. Customer satisfaction is the last thing on their mind. They feel they are untouchable and no one has the power to tell them any thing and they are the supreme authority.
    The gas supply by them is always underweight, without proper seal and mostly leaking. It appears that they are also into the other malpractice practices of the trade.
    If an officer of the defence forces can be a repeated victim of this un-professional approach of the gas dealer what to think about normal citizens.
    A very strict action is required to taken against the gas dealer with a proper exemplary action which will have deterent effect on the other similar dealers.
    I, as responsible citizen and value customer of India, in the interest of better India recommends, a strict action against the dealer M/s Panchkula Gas Service, Sector-17, Panchkula and demands the details from the Indane Gas for the same.

    lindane — TAking Extra charge

    Sir our area gas supplioer M/S J.K Enterprises demanding rs.8 more on cylinder delivery saying that freight chages increased.as i know that Rs. 300 is fixed by government and in this rate supplier has to supply gas to customers home.Before month of April he was supplying gas with old rates.From this month rates was modified.kindly help that if he doing right or i have to move to consumer forum.

    I have a LPG Connection with Indane from a agency named Panchkula Gas Service in Sector16 City Panchkula in Haryana. For refilling of the cylinder i apply with my consumer id they provided me during the purchase. After a long month they did not supply the Cylinder, when I personally approach to the office they said that your earlier consumer ID has been changed in our database so we can’t help you, and wait further. They manually modify the id in my Passbook. Again after one and half month they didn’t supply the same. And the same story they repeated with other consumers also.

    Dear Sir,
    I am a consumer of Indane Gas provided by Indian Oil Corp. My consumer no. is 010097. The name of the agency who supply refilled gas cylinder to me is Shama Indane Gas, Stadium, Nanded. There is inordinate delay in supply of gas cylinder by the agency. Even after repeated telephones to them they do not book your order. I had registered demand for refilled gas cylinder on 16.05.08 and they promissed to supply gas within a week. But when I telephoned them after 12 days they told me that demand has been registered only on 16.05.08 and promissed to supply cylinder within 3 days. however, the cylinder is not supplied till 06.06.08.
    The manager is insisting to deposit the cylinder and regulator to withdraw the gas connection.This may please be looked into seriously.

    lindane — LPG cylinder not filled correctly

    Few weeks back I booked a LPG cylinder from Rajan Gas Service, Noida. The old cylinder exhausted on the 6th of June. On the same day we started using the new one. Unfortunately, on 8th June, i.e within 2 days the new cylinder exhausted. On Sunday, we have no other alternative as the agency is closed and there is no way we can get another one. This shouldn't have happened at the first place. How can the authorities be so careless? More over, the agency is stealing gas and then sealing the cylinders in such a way that no one can catch hold of them. Can we request teh concerned authorities to look into this matter ASAP and help get justice.

    LPG gas from Indian Oil — No response from agency

    I have been trying to book the LPG gas cylinder from last two days. The Gas agency M/s DEE PEE at Hauz Khas, Green Park Market seems to be no mood to pick up the phones i.e. 2643 4030 and 26434031. May be this is due to the roll back of prices by Delhi Govt. that the agency is hording the stock?

    Indane — irresponsible staff at distributor end

    Hello,

    I am a resident of Bangalore Ashok nager and have availed indane consumer gas for my house from a bangalore based distributor called Shri Giridhar Agencies who have their office at No 53 Cariappa Bhavan, Residency Road Bangalore 560025.
    The delivery staff employed by this agency are corrupted to the core, they never give proper change when delivering the gas cylinder. if given the exact amount they demand more money in the like to 20 to 30 rupees, if denied, stating its the delivery cost, etc .
    We have logged a complaint with the agency twice over phone and once personally, but they sem reluctant to take any action on these ill charactered staff. and no complaint number is generated by them and given to us to track it. moreover the next time when the gas is booked the delivery id wilflully delay by the delivery staff stating no supply from indane company, at the same time when checked with the company and the distributor they report that the deliveries are as per normal schedule of 2 or 3 days, , and these ill charactered delivery staff delay the by a week or so.

    This the general experience by most of the residents of Ashok nagar .
    I would like to request you to pls investigate the matter and take strict disciplinary action against the erring delivery staff and the distributor who fail to take the necessary steps to give a better consumer experience to us .

    I too am an aggreived customer of Indane Gas. The Gas Agencies take the people/ customers for granted. I had booked the gas cylinder over 24 hours booking no. 1260 on 20.06.2008 (Booking No. 14) and again on 23.06.2008 (Booking No. 16). But my Gas Agency M/s Kandhari Gas Agency, Plot No. 2, Pocket A-00, Sector 2, Rohini (Phone No. 27519710 and[protected] have still not responded. Neither do they pick up the phone nor are they favourable in solving the problems faced by the consumers. It seems no one wants to rectify the problems in all of these gas agencies.

    I changed my Indane agency to "Nataraj Enterprises" Yelahanka from Ulsoor in Bangalore, due to shift of my home. I never got the cylinder on time after everyday reminder to the agency. Normal delay is 15 days atleast. You call them, they will say it will come today and it never comes. I am customer of Indane from last 4 years, i never got this kind of response.

    The refilling service of our distributor is very-very poor, I have run out of the cooking gas four days and calling since then repeatedly but either the phone remain busy or even if its not I do get a good response. Asking please give me in writing the gas clynder is not vaialbe in ths stock.The agency is decline to do so.This has cuased us great inconvenience in this regard and unnecessarily burdened us to arranged the gas from somewhere else.
    I would like to request you to enquire about it and take necessary action whether they are involved in black marketing of public essential commodities, for which they are liscense holder from the government.

    I have a connection of Indane(consumer No. 14870) from Golden Gas Agency, Palam Vihar Gurgaon. I had booked the cylinder on the 13th of August and it has not been supplied as yet even after several calls to the agency. Every time we book the cylinder, the cylinder is not supplied on time. All the consumers are really frustrated because of this problem. When we try to call the agency most of the time we don't get thru...and even if we get thru...the phone is either not answered, engaged or put on hold. It is becoming really frustrating.     Moreover, the emergency service cell isn't working. The status of the emergency service cell is "SWITCHED OFF". What kind of Emergency service cell is INDANE providing? I might have to take legal actions if the cylinder isn't replaced before tonight, as it is highly risky for me as well as the people living around.

I applied for a DBC in January first week 2008, but now thy are saying its closed in 2006 only and DBC not available. As I remember before some years, Indane dealers were dying for new customer in my native place. And now they are not able to handle customers.
    If DBC was closed in 2006, then why the heck they didn't tell me when I was applying for that. Now they are saying it’s closed. Any how I am managing when my cylinder gets over.
    Any Indane authorize person, Please listen this complain.

    We are suppose to received gas as per your company norms 21 days and our due date last month 10.09.2008 and inspite of several call to Distributor they have not supplied upto 23.09.2008 before 1.30 p.m. When I asked them they say they don't have stock and ask us to make complaint to IOC Customer Care and I made a complanit to you Customer Care at 2.40 p.m and your representative (Mr. Karthik) say it will be delivered before 5 p.m and subsiquently they have delivered. In the receipt they have mentioned the Order Date 12.09.2008 booking date 10.09.2008 but they have delivered on 23.09.2008 and the delivery man also mentioned in the Book stating that expected delivery date 10.09.2008 but delivered on 23.09.2008. They have already delayed 42 days. Now we have made booking on 11.10.2008 and the Delaer say it will be delivered on 13.09.2008. But till date we have not received and we have enquired you delaer and they say we will take booking of today and they will delivered the Cyclinder within 10 days. Due think is it reasonable ? Your dealer purposly delaying the supply beacuase we make complanit to IOC. It is mean your customers are not make any complaint to IOC and if they make they will punished. In such case why your people publishing ad in New Papaer to request people to make complaint if the delivery delayed. What is the fun in issuing such kind of Ad. Now I understand that your dealer is not in your control and you are in dealers control. For you information your customer care Telephone nos are simple useless becuase your try 2 days and we will get one time.

    Plase inform whether your dealers is in your control or not ?
    If you don't replay for the mail I will assume that you are not interested to solve the proble and henceforth we will not make any complaint to you.

    I am a customer of indane and have been registed with maheshwari gas agency Madangir delhi (telephone No[protected] and[protected] . i am trying to book the gas since[protected]. but no one pick ups the phone, it is always busy, I am trying since last 3 days but nobody is responding. Once a guy picked up and said you have dailled a wrong number when I checked it was the same number.

    Indane — Inordinate Delay in supply - Consumer No. 4106

    I have a gas connection with Sabha Indane Gas Agencies, 51, Cart Track Road, Maduvankarai, Guindy, Chennai 600 032 with Consumer No. 4106.

    I have applied for a refil cylinder on 30th Sep 2008. I was given number 6017.

    Till today I have not received the cylinder inspite of my repeated follow ups personally as well as thru phone.

    Kindly investigate and look into the matter.

When I asked for DBC, they said to talk about this after March 2009. I am in need for another cylinder as single cylinder may get empty at any time. Please suggest the needful so I can get another cylinder at earliest.

    Indane — Indane Complaints - Non-commital on refill service

    The LPG cylinder supply service of Radharaman Gas Service, 72, Gangapuri, (Kudhghat) is shocking and increasingly becoming unbearably painful.

    I had booked for a refill on 12th Dec. booking no. 5724, customer ID number: 21416, with the urgency that my single cylinder has suddenly run-out of gas. I was promised service within 3-4 days. This committment gradually got incremented thrice, 4 days at a time, to over 12 days now. Now I get to hear that it can take over a month, as there is no persons available to deliver the gas. The alternative offered to me, is that I procure the refill personally from the Dealer's godown.

    On a personal visit to the dealer's service center, I observed, that gradually this tactic has been applied effectively and a consistent pattern has evolved for all customers. Due to urgency of need and no option left, many customers fend for themselves, thus saving delivery costs for the Dealer. Making this a habitual trend.

    This trend adds up to another painful issue. For those customers who cannot procure the cylinder personally from the godown (e.g. myself: reason being I am single and working all office days), their bookings are bypassed to service the others who come to collect the refill directly from the godown. Thus for people like me, service time for us gets extended indefinitely.

    My account being on a single cylinder, service time is critical, as there is no back-up cylinder with me and there is way of predicting when the gas will suddenly finish. Dealer also says there is waiting-list of 14-18 months for converting my account to a double-cylinder one.

    All this combined, gives an impact of a painful liability instead of a service well-received & appreciated.
    Request your assurance and help to enable me to personally reinforce onto myself the goodwill and high esteem I hold for INDANE.

    I booked cylinder at my distributer(RAJENDRA GAS SERVICE, JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN) on 22/12/2008(booking no.-8949) and my CONSUMER number-R13102 and still no delivery of cylinder is done and on asking at their office they replied rudely that "AAPKO ABHI 8 DIN HI TO HUE HAI, DELIVERY KO ABHI 15-20 DIN OR LAGEGA"when i said this is wrong and I will make a complaint than they replied "JO KARNA HAI KAR LO AAP JAISE HAJARO AATE HAI".
    So I request you to take some action for rights of general public suffring from these sick service and rude behaviour of distibuter
    And i also request to conduct a random sample survey of the consumers of RAJENDRA GAS SERVICE in our locality to know the aculity of sickness of conumers

    lindane — late supply of cylinders and less weight

    We booked a cylender on 27/12/2008 from Agnihotri gas service of NOIDA. My consumer number is 27148.
    It is not yet delievered.
    All the numbers of that service are busy or dont pick up the call.
    They always try to give the cylender of lesser weight of about 25 or 26 kg rather than of 30 kg.

      Booking of LPG cylinder refill for my domestic use against my Indane LPG Consumer No - 17695 at Chennai , has been abruptly stopped by the Agency named Shiv Shankar Agency at Porrur on grounds that I have not booked for refill over the past 3 months. Iam beeing asked to run around the Indane Office at Chennai to restore my booking facility. My repeated request sby mail to Indane office by E'Mail to the Area Manager at Chennai has not evoked any response & I am unable to contact over the consumer care Phone which is never working. With a fractured leg I find it impossible to run around. My entire family has been harassed & put in to extreme hardship due to unilateral & inhuman act by the Agency & due to inaction by Indane authorities at Chennai.
      This is a factual treatment metted out to an ordinary citizen & an Ex- Serviceman. May be I need to shell out that extra money for buying a LPG Cylinder in black. Yet , it is not clear if the Indian Oil has vested such unlateral powers to their suppliers to stop booking & that too with out any prior notice to their customers.

      Hope some one see me through this crisis & hundue harassment.

      Sub: LPG Consumer No 42475 – Refill booked on 22.01.2009 – Wait list No 229 – Non Delivery – issue of notice under Consumer Protection Act 1986 amended 2005 – Reg

      I have booked a refill LPG domestic cylinder (vide Consumer No 42475) on 22.01.2009 and was given Wait list No 229. I was given to understand that the delivery will take 10 days from then on. However after lapse of 26 days I am yet to receive the refill from your agency.

      My efforts to get the refill expedited over phone and also in person through your delivary boys who twice carried the invoices raised in my favour both on 6.2.2009 and 13.2.2009 have gone in vain. I do not know the intensions behind the behavior of your delivery boys in evading the refill supply to my house. I have also phoned up more than 5 times to your customer service personnel who assured me that ‘it will be delivered today’. Moreover the service personnel at the desk with your agency have been indifferent to my family members while answering the remainder call made by them.
      Above all, on 13.2.2009 when the LPG delivery personnel of your agency was just behind our street (at about 10 AM) he assured me that he will deliver the refill cylinder immediately. Since no delivery was made even after my personal request at about 11:30 AM on 13.2.2009, I made a call to your service personnel to instruct the delivery boy to supply the refill immediately without any lapse of time. Your customer personnel who responded to my call assured that she will instruct the delivery boy for doing the needful. To my surprise and agony no supply of refill has taken place till the moment I am drafting this letter.

      LPG is an essential commodity and is a part of life for the common man. Delivery schedules delayed have cumulative effect on the day-to-day life of consumer. Ministry of Petroleum Govt. of India has classified this as an essential commodity and it comes under the purview of essential commodity Act 1955, amended in 2006, thereon. On your part, as a service provider and failing to comply with the time schedule for refill you have become responsible for the deficiency of service warranting penal action under Consumer Protection Act 1986 amended by 2005.

      Keeping in view of the fact that this is the first time your agency has failed to comply with the services to a consumer I give an opportunity to show cause the reasons for such abnormal delay and thereby warranting penal action for deficiency of service under the provisions of Consumer Protection Act 1986 amended by 2005.

      If no reply is forthcoming in writing on or before 28.02.2009 along with the refill and also ensuring my right to book the subsequent refills on account o[censored]nwarranted delay, I will be constrained to file a suit claiming damages to a tune of Rs75, 000/= towards the mental agony, inconvenience caused to me as a consumer in getting the legitimate service from you as a service provider. This is exclusive of cost and other miscellaneous expenses I may have to incur on account of your deficiency of services.

      I also reserve my right to proceed against you by filing a representation with the Honorable Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Govt. of Tamilnadu under the Essential Commodities Act 1955 amended in 2006 for alleged diversion of essential commodities for commercial purposes.

        Myself Paresh Chandra Dholey (Cust. No. 010636) is a subcriber of Indane for last one year. I have only one Cylinder. Our authorized distributor ALADIN, Andul Road, Howrah is not suppling Cylinder in time.

        I want to know the normal delivery period of new cylinder those who are suibcriber of only one cylinder.

        Once I asked the concerned ALADIN distributor that I want to apply for the second cylinder they just told it is not posible.

        Please let me know "why I will not get two cylinder"? And is the procedure to get the same.

          REF: Consumer No.8426 of Superme Indian Gas Services,2/1,Kamla Nehru Nagar,Picnic Spot Road,Near Ring Road Chauraha,Kalyanpur,Lucknow.
          Respected Sir,
          Referrering to the above subject I booked cylinder by telephone on 31.1.2008 in morning and followed daily two or three times for delivery but gas agency has always replied that they will send in evening,but they have not delivered the filled cylinder till date i.e.05.02.2008 and today evening they said that due to some problem in plant so cylinder is not supplied by plant. we are facing many problem due to non availability of gas.So you are requested to take corrective action to solve this problem.
          Kindly do something to avoid this type of delay in supply from dealer.

          I had booked a Gas Cylinder with M/s. KWIC GAS SERVICE, 51, Jwala Heri Market, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi - 110 063 on their Phone NO.25262663 on 05.01.2008. My Consumer No. is KG-20656. Till date I have not received the cylinder. I am constantly trying to contact the Gas Agency on their above mentioned number but the no. is being kept engaged all the time.

          I am a Sr. Citizen, I would request that the cylinder may be supplied at an early date.

          Indane Gas — NON SUPPLY OF CYLINDERS

          I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF INDIAN OIL LPG DISTRIBUTOR AT FARIDABAD, M/S RAINBOW GAS AGENCY, SECTOR 28- FARDABAD. I TRIED TO BOOK THE GAS ON 26TH OF JANUARY BUT WAS TURNED DOWN AS I HAD NOT COMPLETED 25 DAY SINCE MY LAST SUPPLY AND WAS ASKED TO COME AGAIN ON 2ND FEBRUARY 2008. THEN I GOT THE GAS BOOKED ON 2ND FEBRUARY 2008 WTH THE LADY WHO RECEIVED THE PHONE AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE THERE IS A SHORTAGE IN SUPPLIES, WE WLL BE RECEIVING THE GAS WITHIN 10 DAYS (WHICH MEANS WE HAVE TO WAIT AT LEAST 40 DAYS FOR THE NEXT REFILL). BUT TILL TODAY (16.02.2008) WHICH IS MORE THAN 45 DAYS, WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE GAS. WE WERE DESPERATELY TRYING THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBERS[protected], 2272555, 3257788, WHICH ARE NOT ANSWERED AT ANY GIVEN TIME. NUMEROUS VISITS TO THERE OFFICE HAVE TURNED FUTILE AS THE SAY THE ARE HELP LESS AND CAN'T DO ANYTHING. PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN THEIR OFFICE YOU CAN SEE HORDES OF PEOPLE TAKING AWAY CYLINDERS FOR THEIR CARS OR DHABAS. EVEN THE SUPPLY VAN IS OFTEN SEEN DELVERING THE CYLENDERS TO DHABAS AND OTHER PARTIES WHO RUN THEIR VEHICLES ON LPG.

          My consumer No. is 05787 with Bendigeri Indane Gas Distributors, Opp. B V B College of Engineering, Hubli. Booked on 23.9.2008 (after 21 days and 10 days delayed supply of previous supply). Now both the cylinders are empty, for the past 4 days. Response is very cold, no stocks. But I have seen supply is being made. I am having INDANE GAS connection for the past 31 years, but never faced this type of situation, with who ever was the distributor because mine is a transferable job. Unfortunately, Bendigeri Indane Gas Distributors are irreponsive, non curtious and their service is very poor. For the past 2 years I am facing, irregular/non supply of gas in time. This time I requested them several times, because there is a child's birth in my residence, and many relatives are there. But very very inhumane, luke worm response from the distributor. Please help us. Stop this attrocities. Tell us if we can get some other connection.

          I have booked a cylendor 25-07-08 but till date the gas cylendor is not received because the Agency is involved in BLACK Market of Gas each cylendor is balcked of 600 to 700 rupees by agency hocker.
          There is no HOME Delivery for my town. The Agency silendor rate is 350.00 instead of 334.80 and Gas is not in Proper weight it is less 2 to 3 kg per cylendor.

          we wish to inform you that we are resident of House no: 23, 3 rd cross, Basavannapura main Road, K R Puram Bangalore -560036 and user of Indian gas . In our Area Kaveri
          Gas services is authorized for indian Gas (LPG -domestic uses) Distribution.

          we get our cylinder delivery in not less than 20 days after booking for ever time and they take next booking 30 days after delivery of the cylinder.
          i.e our next cylinder delivery span becomes 45 to 50 days which are very difficult to manage for a family.



          we request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful if possible.

          We have booked our gas in Verma Gas Agency Mandawali Fazalpur are to book new cylander after 21 days which is mendatory. After giving booking on 02.04.09 they said it will take 5 working days after we only deliver the cylander at your home. But after 6-7 days they said there is a shortage and strike also due to this we cannot supply the cylander.

          I have given this request on 02.04.09 till now we have not received the supply of gas.

          I hope there has to some committment about their services which they are cattering to the needs of our area which they are not following. The staff is ignorant and have no attitude how to speak with their consumers.

          I am totally unsatisfied and fed up of Verma Gas agency services their service contract has to be terminated with immediate effect.
          I am having my Indane Subscription with Prarthana Gas Agency, Moovarasanpet, Chennai. I have booked for a refill cylinder on April 28 2009 and I was informed that supply will be made in two days. In spite of repeated follow-up and frequent visit to the agncy delivery of the refill had not effected. I am being given false commitment every time.

          This agency is a fraud agency and request IOC to take necessary action against this agency.

              I want a new gas connection(DBC) in Shahdara, Delhi. I have voter ID as a address proff. But gas agency people was saying that they can not give DBC and youhave to pay Rs 4000/- for one cylander.

                  Sir,

                  I am having a connection of Indane Gas from your dealer M/S J.K. Gas, 79/16 B, AJC Bose Road, Kolkata. I came here in Kolkata on transfer from Panchkula (Haryana) about in the year 2006. And when I got my connection from them after producing required transfer documents, I had to wait for about 15 days or so and at that time also I had to post a mail to you to look into the matter. After that they gave me the connection, but with an old regulator with a promise to replace the same soon. Somehow the regulator was giving service to me and as I was staying alone I was not using the gas much. But now my family had also joined me here in Kolkata and that old regulator is almost damaged completely.

                  After persistent efforts and reminding M/S J.K. Gas, they send their mechanic for verification in the last week of December, 2007. He agreed that regulator is faulty but told that the same can be replaced only when I get my rubber pipe replaced as the same is of not up-to-the-mark. When I didn't agree for that he went back without replacing the same. To run my kitchen, I had to borrow a regulator of my neighbor. on 25th of January, 2008 I personally visited them for taking DBC and requested them to replace my faulty regulator. But till date no one has come to replace the same. in the meantime I had got my second cylinder also. Please let me know-
                  1. Whether there is any precondition that for replacing faulty regulator can be replaced only after getting the rubber pipe replaced to the satisfaction of the mechanic.

                  If so, just confirm me by return mail, and instruct them to replace the rubber pipe and REPLACE MY FAULTY REGULATOR ALSO.

                  And if this is not a precondition, just instruct them to replace the faulty regulator and provide me another regulator at the earliest.

                    Yes, you are right that the base line numbers of Veena Gas is many times busy. But, what I feel it's mainly beacuse of the rush. I am also a consumer of Veena Gas for the past 5 years, but it's not that difficult to book for re-fill. Earlier I was using their base line numbers, but with the passage of time the rush became more it seems due to increase in the numbers of new consumers.
                    Hence, once I tried their IVRS (1260) and it's really cool and since then I am using this facility without any problem. And the beauty of this system is that the very first time when you try this (IVRS) you have to feed-in many details, like supplier telephone no., your consumers no. etc. But when you try for the next time it stores your contact no. and all the details. Hence, within few seconds of connecting to IVRS, your re-fill request is taken.

                    Just try again this IVRS system, and I hope you will appericiate.

                    I am also a consumer of Veena Gas. It is very difficult to contact veena gas for gas cylidner refilling. sometime it takes 4 to 5 days to contact veena gas. its really very difficult to book for gas refill. However on contact on phone they hardly hear and cut the phone without completing the sentence what do you want to say. I got never timely.

                    I would also like to bring to the notice that veena gas never booking ist time. Always I had to rang the phone minimum three four times.

                    I wonder if anybody takes care of these complaints or not. In any case I have to burst my frustration. He I go: I am a consumer of Indane Gas through Veena gas services, Sarai Jullena, Okhla Rd, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-25. It is always difficult to book for refill as there phone numbers[protected] or 26914545 or 26834949 are either busy or no response. They don’t have any email, mobile or pager no.
                    I also faced such problems many times. IOC should take action immidiately against Veena gas service for the negligencies and harasment done by the agency.

                      M/s Kitchen Best, Bow Market, Chittaranjan is the authorised dealer for supply of Indane domestic cooking gas in the Township of Chittaranjan, Dist. Burdwan, West Bengal.
                      I approached them for a new cooking gas connection in my official accomodation at Room No. 14, Hostel No. 1, Technical Training Centre, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan, Pin - 713331.
                      The person in the counter at first agreed to provide me the connection on that instant, after checking the proof of address provided by me. However, when I told that I don't need a hot plate as I already have one, and he can examine it as per rules, he flatly denied to supply me with the connection, unless I buy a new one from his shop. Even after point out that this is not the rule, he did not agree and said that whatever the rules, he won't do it. He asked me to come 6 months later.
                      I would request you to look into the matter, stop this unfair practice and take necessary steps so that I may avail a cooking gas connection in my name.

                      I made a complaints against M/s.Lalitha Gas Agency, Kumaran Street, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District on 28/01/2009 regarding the Non-supply of gas cylinder in-time and also not registering after 21 days for further booking. .

                      I have contact the agency on 18/12/2008 for booking gas cylinder the date of supply of gas cylinder is 28/12/2008, the agency is refused to register and directed me to register only after 30days i.e violating the rules and regulations of Indian Oil Corporation.

                      Kindly take the necessary action against the agency for my above said dated and also direct the agency to supply the Gas Cylinder immediately without any further delay.

                        Dear sir,

                        The lady in the saravana agency is not accepting without the ration card to provide me the gas where i am not holding the ration card on my name i am being transferred all over india how come i can get a ration card in Tamil nadu . I am already a consumer of the indane for long years i have never faced problem like this when ever i am been transferred from one state to another. it is after all transfer voucher from hyderabad she can verify the previous agency in hyderabad and can provide connection .

                        She is saying lot of excuses.. please do the needful effort sir, when the Tamil nadu goverment is giving free connection to all the public then why am not getting when i am the existing coustmer to indane.

                        I requesiting you to do the needful, the lady in the sarvanana gas agency is not at all accepting the letter which you have given she is admendend to her word that unless i get the ration card she wont give the connection.

                        It is almost 4 months passed away after transferring from hyderabad.


                        Not only for me lot of people who all are transferred from other place facing the same problem.

                        could you take neccessary step on this agency or we have to face like this only ..

                          How replace the LPG regulator if the Subscription voucher is lost

                          I have an indane LPG connection for which now the regulator is having a leak. I want to replace it, I lost my Subscription voucher. The agency told me with out the SV, it is not possible to replace the Regulator.

                          Please advice me how to get it repalced if the SV is lost...

                          These agencies forcefully sell the burners with the connection & if one denies to take a burner, they refuse to sell the new connection.

                          The total cost with the unnecessary burner goes to 3900Rs.

                          This is really bad & should be stopped.

                          if there is an existing gas connection in the name of the head of family on unfortunate sad demise of the head of the family the gas connection is transferable or not, if not surrendering the old connection and opting to take a new connection is it mandatory to take the new burner
                          I need gas connection for my house.

                            My consumer No. is 19477 with Vijay Gas Agency having their
                            office at Besant Nagar with extension counter at Kelambakkam
                            where i am a consumer since 2006.

                            For many reasons they have not accepted my bookings and insisted on submission of xerox copies of ration card which I had submitted on 20th Dec 2007 and booked for a refill also. The delivery period informed by a lady staff at the extension counter is 15 days and whereas till writing this message, it is not delivered to me.

                            The phone numbers given by them are next to useless. Even I tried to talk to their Besant Nagar Office but in vain. Always it is engaged. If by any chance the number gets ringing, no one is picking up even after continuous try.

                            Luckily when I got the person on phone in Kelambakkam the lady staff very coolly say, come and take the refill. When I told my inability she said that she would deliver on the same evening
                            (31.01.2008) But it is not done.

                            When i try to enquire from yesterday, the 1st Feb 08, the phone No. given by them 32523592 is switched off.

                            I am not able to get the indane grievances cell website to prefer complaint as the site is not opening up and say "error on page"

                            What shall I do ???

                            My consumer No. is 24645 with Blue Flame Gas Agency having their
                            office at Thandavarayan Street, Chennai - 600 021 Phone Nos.25954489 & 25954419
                            where i am a consumer since 2000.

                            Whenever I booked cylinder they are not deliver properly. This time I was booked on 14.11.2009 they told me it will be delivered within one week. Now I am in 10th day. This is not first time Every booking the same thing happened. when I phone to Agency they are not reply properly. Please take immediate action in this matter.

                            expired cyclinder are in practice in kelambakkam area delivered to mamabakkam keezhakkotaiyur, kandigai The inner side of cylinder is having D06 and C08
                            when it is complained to salesman he is saying it is the manufactured date and not expired date please nay body let me know the needful and what should I do

                            I knew it very surely using the epxired cylinder is not safety the above intimate the cylinder got expired in 2008 and 2006 but it is really paining that the delivery man is not even realising it is a faulty cylinder please help me
                            still now i have seen three cylinders like this, please anybody take action

                              I got a complaint from a Consumer Mr. Biney S/O Mr. Bal Krishan resident of Nehru Nagar, Phagwara that:

                              1. At the time of getting LPG Connection from M/S. Phagwara Gas Service, Industrial Area, Phagwara, the concerned agency had promised to deliver the DBC (Double Bottle Connection) in the next month. This makes him very much troublesome as he has only One Cylinder .

                              2. Whenever he makes a call to the concerned mobile number for booking of cylinder it is always switched off.

                              3. Sirs, whenever the consumer book cylinder for delivery the lady who receive call says do not attend to the phone line and on the visit to the agency’s office the concerned officer say that the delivery will be made after 10 days or later.

                              4. Sirs, such sufferings are not new for him. When I approached the concerned office and contacted Miss. Sarbjit regarding issue of DBC, as the matter is lingering from the last one year. She says that I have not got the instructions from the owner to deliver the DBC.

                              5. In this connection I contacted Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma of Indian Oil on Mobile No.[protected], he attended to me and said that still I am in a meeting and call me after 5:30 P.M. But after 5:30 he switched off his mobile and did not attend to my call.



                              Sirs, I request you to please consider for necessary action for their such behaviour and late services and make arrangement to provide DBC at the earliest.

                              Please refer to my letter dated May 2, 2008 requesting you to change my address for home delivery purpose.

                              On the same day I too requested you to book a refill (cylinder) to be supplied at my new address. But surprisingly I haven’t received a refill to-date.

                              I personally visited your agency office on May 09, 2008 to remind you about my booking. The dealing hand informed me that they have already sent the cylinder in my new address on May 06, 2008. He further told me to contact Mr. Manish (Gaddawalla) on [protected].

                              I contacted Mr Manish almost every day on mobile but never received a satisfactory answer from him about “whereabouts of my cylinder”.

                              Hence the matter is serious and needs enquiry.

                              I sure you will pay attention and ensure a regular and timely supply of cylinder in future.

                              Kindly make necessary action immediately and supply my lost cylinder.

                              Our Agency : Kalapna Agency, Vijayanagar, opposite to BTS garage, Bangalore 560040.

                              I have my gas connection from Indane gas.The agency is Kalpana Gas agency in Vijayanagar.
                              I have booked my gas on last monday, I have not received so far.When I ask the delivery boys they say the house was locked, which is absolutely a wrong information. My children are always at home.I have received all the communications but not the gas delivery.

                              I need to follow up 5~10 times to get gas delivered .This is a routine procedure, if I talk to the manager he says, once you book the gas please let me know. I will deliver within two days. But I cannot be doing this always.

                              The money collected towards the gas earlier was 315/- for 308/-.They also demand for more.when asked the deliver boys, say that they do not get salary.Hence they need this extra money.
                              I am not sure on the amount that are going to demand to collect for the new price.

                              While booking the gas, agency people say that waiting period is 1month.To book a gas it is really a nightmare. We ave to keep on calling the phone for 3~4hours. Then we get the line, sometimes we do not get at all, we to go agency directly and book.The customer service very very bad.

                                  I have LPG gas connection of INDANE , and our distributor is SANTOSH ENTERPRISES - H BLOCK VIKASPURI,NEW DELHI-110018, when ever book our number for refilling our cylinder, always been informed about shortage of supply and heavy backlog by their staff. this period is about for 10-15 mostly.. This is a regular pracitice whereas all other distributor of same INDANE company have always prompt delivery...........................?

                                    I am customer of Kavitha gas agency, ashok nagar, chennai.
                                    whenever we call the agency for booking new cyclinder, they don't pick up the phone calls. either the line is engaged or keeps ringing. Many of the agency's customer face similar problems.
                                    Atlast among all busy schedule, we take permission from office and go to book the cyclinder, the cyclinder is not delivered on promised date. they inform 10 days from date of booking, but actually delivered atleast 15 days from date of booking.

                                    This is for the complain for Dixit gas agency.Khicharipur delhi 110091.Details are on 30 jan 2008 I book consumer gas to dixit gas agency after 4 days they provide gas to me . The total weight of gas was 28 kgs. I refuge to receive gas. This is not first time always they do like this and always i complain to that people but they puple are to useless that till date they nither deliver gas to me nor they are doing need full. this is common word for that people that today gas will provide....

After the booking also the distributor taking lot of time (10days) for delivery. The behaviour of the agency staff is very errotic. I have placed a complaint in the books of the agent on 04/03/2008 on the above but no response and the same status is being continued.                                     We are every time trying to contact the dealer but they are literaly not attending phone calls ... we have personally checked that they keep the phone receivers aside..                                     I had sent a complaint against the Indane agency at Rourkela(Chhend) Orissa : M/s Gruhasobha Indane Gas Service, My consumer no. is G-01746. The agency never takes any phone call and asks for proof when discussed in person.As a result I could not get any supply since 1st Jan'09.Now the agency has informed my friend (who went on my behalf to book) that my a/c is blocked and needs a long process to unlock/ regularise.I don't understand how this is possible to a customer who has taken connection in 1984, i.e., 25 years back !!! The agency has no regard for any customer and dares anyone to go even to the Prime Minister. I had in my last mail requested to cancel the connection as I prefer Bharat Gas for their better service here at Rourkela. Is it possible to transfer my connection to some other Indane Agency in Rourkela, say Koel Nagar or Civil Township ??? I will be happy for a prompt reply/action.

                                      I am a customer of indane with customer no 21849 and have been registed with Purinma gas Agency Percot, Adoor. I booked my gas cylinder on 12 March 09, till 4th May 2009 no delivery has been made by the agency. We are regularly calling the concern agency but the only answer we receive is it will come, I have seniour citizens back at hope, due to the agencies irresponsibility my ailing parents are facing problems . I request concern authority look in-to this matter.
