[Resolved] India Speed Post — Very Late Delivery | |
Respected Sir, This is Atit Nirmal from Chennai , Tamilnadu. This is kindly inform you that I am unhappy with your Speed Post Service, Always I Send some parcel , documents & Form Etc. through Speed Post Service to bihar , West Bengal delivery time is very late always it takes more than five to seven days . Same parcel if I send through any private courier agency it is delivered with in two to three days. Kindly checked this matter & improved your service because All Speed post Collection Centre had promised to delivered with in 72 Hours. Speed Post — Very delayed delivery
I booked an envelope EN[protected] IN on 7th March 2009, from speed post center CHANDRAMOULIPURAM - VIJAYAWADA (520010). The envelope addressed to Syamsundar, Ramanthapur, Hyderabad-13, was not delivered even on 13th March. I tried tracking it on their website, and the result was junk (report states - booked in Dec from Chennai and on way to Khammam).After I sent an Email to the concerned and phoned them, the article was delivered on 13th evening.
A private courier does the job in max three days for Rs 14 only. The sppeedpost charges Rs 25, but delivery is worse than ordinary post.

The intention behind introduction of speed post by dept.of post is good.Despite delay I would say speed post is still the best in our country .All the existing delays can be minimised/responsibilty can be enhanced, by introduction of one more entry in the acknowledgement i.e Delivery by date...
If this clause is introduced the responsibilty increases irrespective of state and region and automatically delivery delays will come down.I therefore suggest all business managers to look in this angle for better services/customer satisfaction and for better business.

I agree with the poor service of Indian postal department. The intention of sending documents through speedpost is not fulfilled ever if it reaches after 5-7 days.

I fully agree with the pathetic situation of Indian Postal Department. It is with all the Govt. Departments. I had ordered some study material form an institution located at delhi to jaipur. The tracking system is showing despatch scheduled for 18th March 2011 but still after 6 full days of waiting I am unable to locate the speedpost. The numbers given on the website regarding incharge of local speedpost is busy all the time.
Now i feel I should have personally gone to delhi to collect the study material.
I storngly recommend some penalty clause should be introduced for delayed deliver of speed post or else the name should be changed from SPEED POST to SNAIL POST.

Couriers can be sent faster at the same price!!!
Kindly look into this matter.
( PS: Does the concerned authorities even read this?? )
