India Today Book Club (ITBC) — Money debited from credit card and no refund is being provided by ITBC
We placed an order on 10 Dec 2008 with the India today book club (ITBC) call center through one of their adverts in Mail Today. ITBC took the credit card number while they took the order - promising speedy delivery of the parcel. Money was debited from our credit card the very next day. Inspite of ardent follow-ups ever since they failed to deliver the order. It took them 3 months to agree that it was ITBC who had debited the money from the credit card coz their name showed on the credit card statement.The order was then cancelled by us and we asked for the money to be refunded in Mar 2009. Constant calls to their call center almost every week and continous mail exchanges with them (Jitendra Kumar Thakur and his colleague Justin Fernandes;Designation - Call Center Shift incharges) ever since have been FUTILE.I have never ever come across such a worthless organisation - My first and only experience with them!! They say, they have not been able to generate a reference number against my refund request for the last 6 months which is why the money has not been refunded. I am given false promises of 15 days of processing time every time i call them. Getting through to any other senior in the organisation seems impossible as they don't forward calls to them and in effect the senior management is completely shielded from the consumer.So God only knows what transpires in an organisation like India today Book Club.All i can say is that i'am doing the best possible follow-ups that one could perhaps do however the organisation that i am against is the most pathetic, inefficient and unprofessional that i've ever come across.They've really crossed the limits!! very poor service pronide this company.like i booked a odder at 23/04/2010 it was never delver 29/05/2010

Due of surprise gifts 16 cdsaaz series pack, i made a payment through credit card in month of sept 2008 an amount of Rs1049/-.i made request through regd post on[protected] to send gifts in, please check my a/c and send my gifts which r due. i am ready to accept the gift which r going through, pl do needfull.

India Today Book Club — India Today Book Club - No Refund of Unsuccessful Order
Hello,I got an email for offer SWATCH for Rs. 2150
I tried to make it online first, But after providing payment details, I got message that server is down, but my credit card has been charged, After that one representative called me from India Today and confirmed that payment will be refunded as that order was unsuccessfull. And to complete that purchase I need to provide credit card details again on IVR system on same call itself. So I did that.
Now in my credit card bills I do see this two times charges 2150/- .
I have communicating them with more a month, they promised many times that it will refunded in next 3 days. But still no refunds.
and even now they are not replying my emails .
What should I do now to get my money back ?
