Indiaplaza — Defective Mobile Handset | |
Sir/Madam, I had purchased one BlackBerry 8310 Curve, Mobile handset from this site, for an amount of Rs.16, 999/- + the shipping charges. Right from day1, this handset has been giving problems which, were subsequently communicated to India Plaza customer care. The mobile set used to reset at least 10 times a day and used to take about 15 minutes to reboot. And at times, I was unaware of such a happening and was informed by other people that my cell was off! Not expected from a Brand New Cellphone from a company of the repute of BlackBerry. However, the customer care got the handset picked up from my address for replacement committed within 2 days. What ensued thereafter is nightmarish to say the least! No one had any clue of what the problem was or when was the replacement expected. These promised "2 days" was verbally/electronically communicated at least 30 times to me. To my astonishment, after about 30 days (of sending the phone back), I was informed that the battery was defective and would be replaced. Imagine a replacement of a mere battery took more than a month. This just doesn't stop here, I finally got the handset back yesterday..with the same battery (no replacements) and even more problems. Now the handset gets hung without any reason whatsoever. The QWERTY keys have gone all wonky..you type "y" it shows "z" and vice versa. I had speacifically communicated to the customer care that I had not purchased this handset to play games or listen to music. I am the Chief Operating Officer of a Telecom Giant and am generally on tour. Hence, the choice for a phone like BlackBerry! I have no alternative but to seek your help and advise, as I feel extremely disgusted at this high handed attitude of the seller. All I expect is that my money should be refunded and this handset be taken back by them. Regards, Was this information helpful? | |

really pity on Mr. Mallikarjun..!! Is this how companies like "Indiaplaza" work?? In addtion to the apologies from the company, Mr. Mallikarjun should be provided with a new "problem-free" handset..and..some compensation, as a fine..!!
