I am a Computer Engineer by profession. I have been recomending Intel Original boards to my customers. But lately I have observed with 4 ( Four ) of my customers that, Firstly It is very hectic to contact Intel Warranty centre, which is available only in bangalore. We have to spend on STD Charges. They take half hour to One hour on the phone to sort out the problem, then they give us a Case no to send the board across. when I send the board to Intel Warranty centre (which is remotely located in Chennai ), the board are in intact condition, but after 15 days when I get the board back the CPU pin is tampered (on purpose) and a note saying "Physical damage, warranty void".
No amount of debate on the issue with the call centre persons, are they ready to accept their mistake.
This has been happening around for the last one year, with no official ready to claim responsibility. what do we do? Whom do we approach? This is the problem which many Engineers are facing. and if you pay the dealer Rs. 500/- they get it replaced for you from god-knows-where.
