India Today Book Club — Free Gift items never received | |
I am a ITBC member I made frequent purchase from ITBC For last Three purchases they say to claim some free gifts from ITBC site by quoting uique ID given to us in invoice(Cash invoice) But till date from april, may, June 2008 offers i paid all cash by VPP but no gifts received from ITBC This is a fraud & I have made several complaints to [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com last one is Dear Sir My India Today Book club member is ITBC07327600 As per your offer I had paid Rs 699 wide your invoice no ORB[protected] but I did not received any free gift with this offer Unique number to claim was pasted on this offer dated 24th May 2008 Kindly send gift on urgent basis Please Before printing, think about the environment Dr. Rajesh M. I RETURNED BACK THE BOOKS SENT TO ME TWICE OF ORDER FOR RS.525/- AND RS.699/- IN MARCH 2008 & JULY 2008 RESP. BUT TILL DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND OF MY MONEY. EVERY TIME WHEN I HAVE ENQUIRED ON E-MAIL OR TELEPHONE ABOUT THE REFUND THE ANSWER WAS " YOU WILL RECEIVE THE REFUND WITHIN 45 DAYS". I SENT ABOUT 10 E-MAILS BUT I GOT ANSWER ONLY FOR ONE. AS THIS IS CLEAR FROM MY FIRST RETURN OF BOOKS THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THESE OFFERS BUT THEY ARE SENDING THE BOOKS EVERY MONTH.

never purchase anythig from ITBC. it's simply a fraud...be aware
i am also a victim of itbc way of dangling carrots in their offer letters and invoices.when it comes to honour the offers no responsible person comes on line to give a proper reply.they simply advise to look into the great offers .com which never opens.without these offers also we may buy the books or other merchandise in the catalogues.this kind of instigating club members and disappointing them by indiatoday is highly regrettable .yesterday i teliphoned their office thrice .every time a new person came on line and like a parrot everyone said the same story-open the site and you will know the status.what i cannot undrstand is why can"t itbc despatch the offer along with the vpp?afterall no postman will part with the parcel without paying!sincerely hope itbc mends its ways and honours its commitment.
