[Resolved]  Jet Airways — Rerouting

Over the last 3 days i have been a bit perturbed with the responses I hav got from Jet airways from both the counters as well as call centre. Therefore i am writing to you to get a written response which I need to plan my next steps.

What i need to do :

I am holding a mix of refundable and non refundable tickets of domestic sectors
I want to rerouting these tickets to a international sector and want to use existing tickets that I am holding for the purpose.

Responses that i have got / harrassment to me

On June 13th night at airport counter at delhi, i was refused rerouting to international sector. On my doubting the response, the counter person clarified with another person and confirmed that refundable tickets can be rerouted to the international sector but non refundable cannot be.
I asked for the refundable tickets to be reouted and the Delhi - brussels - delhi ticket issued and any additional charges to be paid
As the entire process was taking too much time ( almost an hour ) I decided to pursue the case at city office today
I followed up on the call cantre and they also confirmed that refundable tickets can be rerouted to international sector but non refundable ticket cannot be.
On my visit to the city office and discussion with the supervisor that irrespective of the status of the ticket, the domestic tickets cannot be rerouted as per IATA rules. This has been received by me in writing.

On my confirming the IATA rules through th website, there is no such mention that I find and further there is no such mention that rerouting will be limited to domestic sector only on jet website under fare rules.Needless to say multiple views and opinions have caused extreme hardship to me physically as well as mentally.

what I need

Guide me to the IATA rule which mentions this.
Guide me to Jet airways fare rule which confirms what your offices have confirmed to me including no refundable fare ticket not allowed to be rerouted as the fare rule on jet website mentions that ticket is allowed for changes with revalidation.
Give a written response which clarifies the reason for multiple opinions and sighting of rules.
I am also pursueing this through my office with IATA as well as DGCA basis written confirmations of your officers. In case your offices are right, I stand corrected, if not then I lodge a claim with consumer redressal offices and if required pursue this for consumer awareness through appropriate media.

Jet Airways — Damaged baggage not replaced after multiple complaints

Claim Check Number - 9W 585891

I had taken flight 9W 351 (BOM-DEL) on 31.01.2009, where my baggage was damaged in transit. The baggage was handed over to me at the Delhi airport with one side completely torn apart. Two weeks have passed and I'm yet to receive a replacement...for various reasons.
Here are certain pertinent points I would like to make in this regard.

1. Although the baggage was beyond repair and the same agreed upon by the attending officer, it was mentioned in the form as 'to be repaired'. The reason give to me was - 'this is redundant'.

2. I had categorically told the airport baggage executive that I would be travelling again on 02.02.2009 evening and obviously will be requiring the replacement before that. The damaged piece was picked up from my residence promptly on 01.02.2009. However, even after calling up the contact numbers repeatedly on the mentioned date my case was not attended to. At 5 pm I was contacted to be informed that the vendor was then ready to plan the delivery, unfortunately I was already on my way out (with a little help from my friend).

3. Since then there was no effort to communicate the matter to me till I returned to Delhi and called the Jet Airways executive on 07.02.2009.

4. On 07.02.2009 evening, a certain piece of baggage was delivered to me at my residence...which, to no person in his right senses, would appear anywhere close to the original piece. Needless to say, I had no other option but to return the piece.

5. Eversince I have been calling up Jet persistently. What is striking and worrying from a consumer point of view is that there is no single point of contact and no one taking responsibility, only ineffective and dumb phone executives wording out automated reponses.

I would like to bring this gross irresponsibility to your notice and hope that you will be able to take immediate action in this regard.
