[Resolved] Jet Airways — Careless Boarding Staff | |
I booked myself in 02 Sep 2013 Jet Airways flight 9W 304 from Delhi to Mumbai. Considering the checkin counter closure norm of 45min prior to flight departure, i reached Airport at 7:20. Since there was ample amount of time left, staff asked me to stand in the check-in queue. Morning rush could be seen in the long waiting queue. It was already 7:45 AM and i was still number 4 in the wait list to be served. I asked the airline representative if we are still OK w.r.t time. Hearing 8:25 as flight time, she then told me to meet the Supervisor. A BIG surprise was waiting for me. Supervisor told me that checkin is already closed for Mumbai flight. I was dumbstruck. Typically, the checkin staff call out for the final checkin for a given flight. There was no such announcement that i experienced, though the staff beg to differ. As per them they called for final checkins. I was in the queue waiting for past 30min and never heard a single shout. Perhaps they called in their minds. I missed one urgent meeting and was booked in 9:55 AM flight. Boarding staff was totally oblivious to this and cared least. I'm not sure they do it on purpose with intent of selling the tickets at premium. Morning flight on this route especially on mondays always sell at premium. May be these airline muggers accommodate people at extra cost in early flights by adopting such tricks of the trade. Never again will i fly with Jet airways. Was this information helpful? | |
