Jet Airways — Negligence of staff caused late checkin and subsequent rejection for boring

I had a Jet Airways booking from Mumbai to San Francisco via Hong Kong on 6th March 2011. The departure time for Mumbai - Hong Kong flight was 1.50 am and as per instructions I reached airport at around 11.30 pm on 5th March 2011. I entered airport and told Jet customer representative about my flight details and he asked me to stand in a line. I diligently obeyed him and stood in line and finally at 1.00 am I reached counter, they said counter for Hong Kong flight closed and they paged everyone about Hong Kong flight. No paged came to me or shouted anywhere close to where I was standing otherwise I would have heard it. Now Jet is claiming its my fault and did not reschedule flight nor are giving any refunds. And in this situations the representatives were very rude and were using foul languages.

Comments

And one more thing, the same flight eventually was delayed by two hours. I am confident the move by jet airways was pre planned to overcome their overbooking problem.
