Jet Airways — Damaged Baggage and Poor Customer Service | |||
I flew from Amritsar to Mumbai via Delhi. I had a single 20" bag which the Agent in Amritsar foreced me to check-in. She said it was too big. I asked her to measure it, but she was bent upon checking the bag. Anyway, after a while I gave up and checked the bag. She tagged it for Priority handling. In Mumbai, the bag with badly broken handle and priority handling tags removed. I complained about it at the airport baggage services. They took down the complaint, verified the handle was freshly broken, etc. They promised the bag would be picked up the next day for a one day repair and if I was unsatisfied for any reason, they will replace it. I informed them of my travel schedule and that I only had 3 days in Mumbai before I would need to travel again. This was not a problem for them excpet nobody showed up to pick the bag for repairs. The person who was responsible for handling this and had given me his cell number, did not answer my repeated tries to reach him. I finally reached the baggage claim, and they were not much help - or at least as yet. I tried customer service but no help there either. The whole experience is terrible and Jet Airways has proven to be a horrible airline. BEWARE FLYING ON JET AIRWAYS! They have also demonstrated that their people are irresponsible. One of them actually told me he has no power to make any decisions but still wanted to hear the whole story! What a waste. Was this information helpful? | |||
