I am an old customer of Jyothi Gas.
I received a Jyothi Gas Cylinder from the above agency on 19th Jan 2008, 10.30PM upon my request to replace the exhausted cylinder.
We are a family of 4 which includes one infant.
This 12Kg cylinder got exhausted on 31st Jan 2008 morning and upon contacting the above agency, they told me that they will check the regulator for faults and if flawless will replace the cylinder for me free of cost. But when the delivery boy arrived and informed the agency owner that the regulator doesnt have any fault and that the cylinder is empty, this guy refused to replace my cylinder free of cost and charged me Rs.630/-. His response was that he cannot bear a loss of the above said amount and that he will file a complaint with the Jyothi Gas company directly and if they pay back the money, I will get it, else I should bear the lost and that he need not bear any losses.

How can a 12Kg cylinder last only 10 days, where in we have; until now been able to use 12Kg Jyothi Gas for 50 days bare minimum. I fear that the gas cylinder supplied to me was a used one.
Also, I am afraid this is not the right kind of response. When I spoke of a consumer court complain, he challenged me on that. What kind of security does Consumer Forum provide us? I need a resolution to this complain at the earliest or atleast a direction as to where I can submit a complaint directly so that I get justice.
